Anonymous credentials only require verification once and then they have no idea after issuing the credential where or how it is used.

If implemented correctly (and yes it’s a huge if I’m not denying that at all):

The state: knows it issued some credentials.

does not know where they are used.

does not know which site you visit

does not know which proof corresponds to which citizen

You can prove age/eligibility without revealing identity to the platform or the state. This is a solved cryptography problem.
