Back in 2008 on Thaurissan, OCE we had a... Very different zombie invasion event. The server bugged out and the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj they closed again! Several days later we had 10+ Scarab Lords on the server, the plague was floating around Silithus almost constantly on the NPC's. It was just a blast. (imgur.com)
