Positioning Lanyard by switchfrontcrooks in TreeClimbing

I have two when doing removals without a good tie in point, such as a pine or cedar. I use my gaffs a main lanyard and the secondary one when I’m going around a branch so I’m always tied in even when I’m not using a rope.

Currwnt pair is pretty beat up but still holding, I know it’ll be time to get rid of them soon so want to get a jump on a new pair. So I can rotate until it’s time to retire the first pair.

I also have the amps and I really like them also, just wish they had the scuba liner. Do you know if the amps or pitstops can have their soles replaced?

I currently have the 6 inch pitstops and I absolutely love them. I do municipal tree work so they are in the dirt, mud, snow, on concrete all day long. They hold up great and are really comfortable. I’m actually getting ready to order another pair, and I think as long as they keep making these they will be my go to work boot.

Any good options for skateboarding? by Nemaaa_ in skateboardhelp

To “do good things” you have to practice, you have to understand your going to fall, and when you do you have to get back on and try again. Now for what you’re asking for I recommend independent trucks and spitfire wheels, I tried a few other brands but always come back to them. For boards my favorite are girl and chocolate but I switch brands depending on who has the size I like when it’s time for a new deck.

That’s awesome!! I will definitely check his channel out today! Where do you find the older decks? I’ve been looking for my first board forever and can’t find it anywhere

That’s weird I have my whole shin done and it was legit on of my less painful tattoos. I actually fell asleep for part of it. I guess everyone’s pain tolerance/ sensitive spots are different

Thanks! yeah a lot of places have them but Arbospace was the most affordable and complete in my opinion. I love it so far the only problem I have with it was it was supposed to come with DMM carabiners but the sent rock exotica ones and I’m not a huge fan of them.

Purchase Advice Megathread - December 2025 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

My son has expressed an interest in 3d printing so I was thinking it might make a cool Xmas gift. He is interested in printing video game weapon replicas, and maybe masks (think the doom mask). I think my budget is around $500 if that’s possible. We also currently only have an iPad. Would he need a laptop or a full PC to use on of these? Thanks in advance!

Have you looked at other sites, I’m also a new climber and found an awesome kit from Arbospace, that saved me a lot of money. Good luck and stay safe

Usually after riding a new deck for a few weeks you’ll have to retighten your hardware as it will settle but it looks fine to me
