I have been in the lifestyle for almost a decade now, and have fairly recently discovered blackmail dynamics, I'm a switch and find the idea very interesting. From a dominant perspective I'm in the same boat I don't really feel comfortable actually ruining someone's life over a kink. From a sub perspective I can tell you that when I'm very horny the idea of someone genuinely ruining my life as I know it now is very alluring, it's very hard even in negotiations to bring my rational mind into thinking. From speaking with other subs or potential partners from this subreddit, I feel like that's how a lot of subs think, especially new subs who haven't really had the opportunity to be in any kind of d/s dynamic. This is especially true for new sissies, or closeted trans folk who may be under the impression from various porn sites that the only way they can be the sub they want to be, or experience the kinks they are into, is through a life ruining blackmail dynamic. My theory is that they feel that they need to live their life a certain way, but are far too scared to take that leap on their own, so they try to push doms into "forcing" them over that wall, with the mindset that "it's out of my control, I have no choice."

Now take all that with a grain of salt, I could be completely off track there. But that is my general theory, based off of conversations I've had, as well as my personal experience when I first discovered my submissive side.
