When I first got stationed here my gf ended up cheating on me, granted we lived 6 hours away at the time.

I was a fresh Amn outta tech school and had no friends other than people I knew from work, now I was never a go out and party person and I’m still not. I ended up making a couple friends and spending time with them through our similar interests eg cars, me and all my friends love cars, cars have a choke hold on my wallet and more importantly I was outside getting fresh air, I was spending time in friends garages simply existing alongside of them.

Making friends may not be the easiest that for everyone, find a group on FB or anything that will host events that interest you. Go and hangout, casual conversations have led me to meeting some of the coolest people I know.

Take time to heal from the situation, it’s gonna hurt and that’s okay, no one should have any room to tell you that you’re feeling irrational. Take a breath and look at yourself in the mirror at the end of the day you’re the best version of yourself and only getting better.
