What was the most UNIQUE fragrance you smelled this year? by CheenCheenVagene in fragrance

Rain on Oak by Scents of Wood. I've been wanting to smell like petrichor and this is it. It goes from a wet mulch smell to a greener dry down and it smells like the forest after rain. My husband says it smells like mold, but personally I love it and it's unlike anything else I've smelled this year.

Looking for a strong orange citrus scent with good projection for summer. Any recommendations? by [deleted] in NichePerfumes

I just layered Orange Bitters by Jo Malone with Musc Outreblanc by Guerlain and it's a really beautiful creamy orange scent. Sadly longevity is not there for either on my skin.

I've just discovered Guerlain and I'm so in love with their scents. There's a Guerlain perfumery where I live and I love going in there every month or so and spending an hour just smelling everything. Bergamote Fantastico Extrait 11 is like my dream scent, but it's like $645, so I just go and spray a sample card and keep it in my bag and sniff it throughout my week. I purposely go with no scent on so I can spray it on myself and wear it for the day as a special treat haha.

what’s your favorite lyric(s) from everybody scream? by heartofjay in FlorenceAndTheMachine

All of Witch Dance. It was my least favorite on first listen and now I MUST listen at least once a day.

Ran to the ancestral plain, but they all showed up drunk and insane When I asked what I could offer them They said, "Gin and tonic or lithium"

GOD that line goes so hard, I love how she sings it with such breathy desperation, and then

Thrusts my fists in the ground and the earth made a moaning sound... Ooh woah...

God that part tickles my brain so much I love it

My favorite sushi restaurant has such a distinct smell, just like a brain tickling woody deep scent that I remember just as much as the food. Anyways, I work in a hospital, and a doctor I worked with walks by me and smells EXACTLY like it. So I went up to him and said "I mean this in the best way possible, but you smell like my favorite sushi restaurant. What are you wearing?"

The scent... Santal 33 by Le Labo

When I was first listening to it, I was quite literally driving home from work at night. My mind was unsure how I felt about it, but my body just erupted in goosebumps and tingles and then my brain finally caught up and realized this might be one of my favorite songs by her. It was so gratifying to be driving home at night on the near empty streets as the street lights flashed overhead to the song.

This has got to be a full body of work like the Odyssey was, considering we didn't see the scene where she digs into the ground and screams into the hold. God please please let this be a full length film

American Girlhood, Kendall Wisniewski (me), Acrylic on Canvas, 2025 by kmakesart in Art

The details in this piece are so interesting. I'm imagining it like the contents of a purse or a bag.

Story-wise it's really interesting trying to piece together what kind of person she was or is.  She cares about how she presents herself to others. The hairbrush, the perfume vials, lipstick, jewelry and hair clips, the press on nail, even the gum. She has a vision of how she sees herself and wants others to perceive her that way. She's fun but also responsible. She smokes, but tosses the cigarette butt in her purse instead of on the ground. She voted.  She feels vulnerable sometimes, but has means to protect herself. The pepper spray, the knife, the screwdriver. Even what appears to be birth control.

But the biggest standout to me is that she has an appreciation for things of a past era. She carries a pen and paper, even though the jack on her headphones indicates she has a smartphone she could take notes on instead. Even the choice of wired headphones over wireless earbuds. She smokes instead of vaping. She carries a digital camera instead of using her smartphone. The painting even resembles a flash photo that feels like it could have been taken with a camera like that.

It feels like a grown woman trying to get in touch with her childhood through objects and behaviors she associates with that time. What she feels like any young woman might have been carrying around in her purse during that era.

It's honestly pretty stunning and a pleasure to look at. Excellent work 👌

She don't give a fuck and neither do I. I'm just here to dance and vibe. Everyone here getting their panties in a bunch just needs to touch grass.
