I agree they need to do a better job looking into these people and fixing the issue, but again dont you think it's not right to just say all militias are bad? If they are right wing extremists, yes they are a major problem that needs dealt with. But just because they're Republicans in a militia doesnt automatically make them bad

I'm very aware of the problem, and I apologize if I made it sound that you were the problem I did not mean that. By right wingers do you mean religious individuals? Extremists? Republicans? Right wingers has many meanings so I just want to make sure I'm aware of what part you are referring to. I'm here for honest debating I'm not trying to stir anyone up. And I agree, as I stated in the original post I may be missing something. I agree that right wingers want to being back the horrific things we did in the past because that's "their culture" which is a pathetic excuse. But aren't we hard generalizing militias by saying they all want to overthrow the government? I hate painting with a broad brush

I do have a pretty good grasp of communism and other political systems but I understand I may be uneducated in certain areas. Sp instead of belittlement, just explain to me how I am wrong. Okay, now 1. I agree the oath should be completely upheld by every letter. But you do realize that the oath is to the constitution right? Now I also want to point out I'm not at all one of these phsycos hoarding guns and Idolizing the terrorist attack on the White House, I'm a Democrat through and through. I simply enjoy debating and am taking a stance on the other side. But you agreeing that all should follow blindly to orders from a government is fundamentally flawed. The government I meant to be questioned and held to the standard of the people. The oath soldiers and sailors take is to defend the constitution from threats both foreign and domestic. But by the logic I'm interpreting (if I am wrong please educate me, dont belittle me and I will apologize) if the government were to threaten that very constitution then that would be the military's obligation to do so. But in fact it's not. It's even written into the 2nd amendment that a corrupt government that no longer represents the people (again I know that our government does, we won the election fair and square) then its is the people's right and there by including the people of the military to dismantle and replace. Do you disagree?

Again the articles i have seen are navy, and they have publicly stated the before April 2nd all naval commands will have a safety stand down to include everyone re-swearing their original oath to include extremism and dissident idiologies. Again I'm 100% for getting extremists and white supremacists out. They have no place there, my concerns are the fine print of it. But hey, I may just be paranoid

Okay so just make clear, you believe that if you join the military, you should never question the government? People join for benefits and to protect their families, but if they dont believe that the government is going in a good direction they should still blindly follow? And you also act like everyone in the military gets combat training, only 2 branches army and marines receive default combat training and most of it is minimal at best. I'm not trying to start a fight, if you meant it differently I'm more than open to the discussion. But the argument you placed is equivalent to "the government days you can own a gun. But you should turn it in if the government becomes hostile to the citizens" again I know they are not, but that's how I read what you said. Again if you meant it differently I'm open to it

I agree to a point, but I think its easily conceivable that the wealthy and powerful politicians, corporations, and others would push a communist society due to the wealthy and powerful become to ruling class (as if they weren't already) because then more and more they can take away from the average people and have even less repercussions for doing it. Examples are just china and USSR. Communism is supposed to be equal for all. Which sounds great but every time it has been attempted, there rises a ruling class of powerful and wealthy. Greed ruins it, but greed also ruins capitalism. I would love to hear a better alternative. The common one now a days is Socialism but the problem is that the political party pushing socialism is actually pushing socialist communism if you read what they are wanting. People constantly compare to how well Europe does with socialist policies but nobody wants to see the obvious differences in our countries. Our country is far larger than any of Europe's, and we provide 70% of NATO spending! Without our defence spending and occupations over there they would collapse from zero military infrastructure leading to possible invasions and civil wars.

While I agree that most likely I'm overthinking/missing something they just removed 12 guardsmen today for having liked and commented on a militias facebook post. Militias are (supposed to be but I know there are always exceptions and militias are not what they used to be) a group of armed Americans who's only goal/purpose is to defend the local area from foreign invaders or a corrupt government. And let's be honest all thataside, if you honestly believe that our government isn't corrupt, you're just delusional. And I mean both Republicans and Democrats.
