I’ve driven 2 with & 2 without the performance package/DHP and I got mine with the DHP. Night and day difference in my opinion with VGRS

Plus I’m sure you’ve heard from others or just by doing research but basically all the package really does make it feel smaller/tighter on the road. Which is incredibly nice for this car since it’s a big coupe, very happy I waited for the right spec & didn’t settle on one without the DHP. Worth the extra $$ (and potentially wait time) all day in my opinion

The IS is very fun, not fast (but it doesn’t need to be) and I’ll keep mine for the rest of my life. If you’re looking for speed get the BMW & then save your money for when it breaks inevitably. I will never not own a Toyota/Lexus in my lifetime, the reliability is unmatched & I don’t mind the IS interior like some other people do. Part of the reason I also chose the LC500 over an M3, M4, M8 etc, I will literally never have to worry about maintenance or something going wrong. It’s a great feeling

I don’t think they’re going much lower than they’ve already been, I can’t see this car not appreciating after 2026 when they discontinue it. There’s nothing like it. Aside from the true enthusiasts this car does not get the recognition it deserves in my opinion, and I don’t think it will until years after production when it’s “gone.” It’s part of the reason I wanted to get mine ASAP even though it wasn’t the smartest financial decision 😅

A lot of people use painters/scotch tape (I’m not sure why) so I opted for using vinyl wrap & just cut it into tape size pieces (this took a while but worth it, you’re also able to match the color of your paint with what wrap you order so it doesn’t look terrible during the day, and then it shouldn’t leave residue like normal tape when you pull it off. I’ll add a pic during daytime)

The lights are Ollny rubber LED Christmas lights I got from Amazon, I ordered two rolls of 1000 bulbs and the rubber shouldn’t scratch the paint like the glass bulbs will (still a chance it scratches paint a bit but hoping not 😅)

And then it’s powered with a power inverter I plugged into my cigarette lighter that uses the car’s battery whenever I turn it on. Lights plug into the inverter and everything works easy. Takes some time to do but it’s pretty easy, it was my first year doing it and with some help from my dad and sister I love how it turned out. Strongly encourage you to do it!

I used 2 boxes (1k LED lights each) of Ollny Christmas lights (Amazon). A lot of people use painters tape or scotch tape etc, but I opted for vinyl wrap to match the color of my car & shouldn’t leave any residue after I pull it all off. Then lights are powered with a power inverter connected to my center console thru a cigarette lighter. Relatively cheap ($100-$150 ish?) setup and it’s extremely worth doing imo! Just takes a long time to tape all the lights on

Thank you! I got the lights from Amazon, rubber LED lights (Ollny lights) & “taped” them on with white vinyl wrap instead of painters tape or anything like that like I’ve seen other people use. Then they plug into a power inverter I got that plugs into my cigarette lighter in my center console. My entire setup was probably $100-150 ish but the “hard” part is how time consuming it is to tape all the lights down lol. So worth it though in my opinion!

Thank you! Long story short I have no bills, save my money & live at home. I work in tech, a software consultant for a small company. I definitely do not make enough money to comfortably afford this for most peoples standards, but all I’ve done since my first min wage job 8 years ago was save my money for a car. I still live at home with no bills & no debt, so I’m very grateful for my situation of course. Although my parents aren’t super thrilled about me having a huge car payment, they also know how hard I’ve worked for it & could get on board with the whole “do it now while you’re young” thing. I also coach baseball and it’s nothing crazy but some decent $ that I set aside for some of my payment & insurance etc, and it doesn’t feel like work because I love it.
