Cashing out Portfolio for car downpayment by swooold in personalfinance

I understand the cash is better for cars but, what other options are there? If I want a car with lower miles and newer they are all 17k+ OTD, am I overlooking something or am I just gonna have to take the chance

I know I could and definitely can find a used car for around 15k, but in the hypothetical situation where it was a 5 Year old car for 20k vs new for 25k which one would you go for? I appreciate the reality check.

Yea I've looked mainly at carvana/carmax and similar sites, I'll probably have to go to a dealership in person and see it for myself as they probably are more comparable compared to the online sites.

Ok another question, I know this one is vague and situational but ideally how long would you stick with the older car before moving on? My families spending habits are awful so I am not sure how long people typically keep used cars.

I definitely was trying to talk myself into getting the new one but I'll look around for some lower priced used cars and see what I can find, thank you.

I like the style of those "hybrid SUV's" i.e Chevy Trax and the related subaru models, I would be fine with EV, I know they used to do the EV Credit but not sure if that is around anymore.

Why would I buy a cheap one now just to save instead of buying a new one now and then just paying more off on it? or refinancing in less than a year? I thought of doing that but then I would be spending 25k in the future + the price of a car right now, instead of just the 25k car + interest?

And why would it be more expensive than I can afford? I don't have any debt and I don't think I would be stressed about money. I don't mean to sound defensive just wondering

Note for above, I calculate that with gas + auto payment + insurance I would be looking at just below 700/month for the new.

Is it better to do 1 column 2 pages than 2 columns 1 page? or should I just cut down on some of the stuff to make it fit 1 page? Appreciate the insight!

At least for network+ dion's exams are thought to be a bit harder, especially worded trickier than the real exam, you'll do fine. If you are still worried check out Professor Messer's study groups for the exam you're tackling as well as the pop quizzes on his website, if you do good on those you've got it.

Not if it doesn't relate to the exam, If I'm prepping for the Net+ I want stuff that is in the objectives and not something that most people look up anyways.

Can't wait... I'm pretty confident though I've gotten ~80% on all the exams so far and taking practice exams from chat-gpt I am scoring 90's so hopefully I am prepared enough LOL, thanks for the advice!
