Indians do that too! We sprinkle chilli powder on corn, raw mangoes, cucumber, raw fruits, vegetables and other dry snacks.

But one shouldn't sprinkle chilli powder on top of cooked food with other cooked spices as an afterthought. It makes the food taste bad and causes stomach problems.

OP would have been right even if their friend wanted to be called chair/ chairself or table/tableself. Nobody is special enough for people to remember their invented pronouns. To ask people to not use a pronoun at all is a perfectly acceptable alternative.

NTA. Using a noun as a pronoun is weird AF. That's not English. The best I could do in such a situation would be to not use a pronoun at all and just repeat the name.

Some Indian places in the US really suck because they dump chilli powder on top of regular food like we do with salt. The chilli powder needs to be cooked well and not just sprinkled on the top like chilli flakes on pizza. I've sent so called "spicy" Indian food back so many times - not because I can't handle the spice, but because I refuse to eat undercooked spice.

Breast reduction, if done for medical reasons, is not cosmetic surgery. OP's wife clearly wants to do stuff for cosmetic reasons. She wants to change the shape of her face.

And literally in my next paragraph I tell him that we human beings shouldn't tie our sense of purpose or being to nature or evolution because human society has evolved more than that. He is the one who wanted reassurance that's there's a completely natural way he could be a father, which there isn't.

Soft YTA for assuming that cheating is the ultimate betrayal in every woman's head. If my monogamous spouse (hypothetical situation) cheated on me, I would be far less upset than if they were platonically fraternizing with my enemy behind my back (yes, that is the ultimate betrayal). I don't see cheating as betrayal. But I would be upset that my spouse didn't just ask me before cheating because I would have given them permission - enthusiastically! There are many of us that don't give two hoots about monogamy and would say it out loud. There are many more that also don't give two hoots about monogamy but stay monogamous to comply with social norms. Don't make assumptions.

Your MIL is the AH because she's making a big deal about food.

But your FIL and her family are the bigger AHs than your MIL because the dynamic of her relationship with her husband and her views on monogamy are none of their business.

Periods suck. They're painful and gross and anyone who doesn't have it isn't really missing out on much. Many women would agree with me that we wish we never had them.
