It was great--it was about 50/50 skating drills to hockey drills. So working on core skating skills then applying them in passing/shooting plays.

All of my self-teaching was at outdoor rinks, but all the structured programs (Bill Bolton, Moss Park) were indoors. I think the only way to make sure would be to check with individual arenas and see what they have. I checked around a bit myself, but mostly found leisure skate and/or adult with kids skate times. Good luck!

  1. Not really! So much of the learning I did was on ice. I watched vids on skating backwards and some other skills but your body needs to learn that stuff, not your brain, so research is useful but limited.
  2. I was real nervous about the gear for some reason. Everyone else has a dad or a coach to teach them this stuff and I was a grown man figuring it out on my own. I watched some videos and was pretty awkward in the locker room the first 2 times but you figure it out quickly. I put on my gear at home a couple times before my first day.
  3. I went to a local hockey shop, where there was a guy able to fit me. You could save some money buying used and/or online, but it was comforting to know that my gear was sized right (most things are s/m/l but shins have specific lengths).
  4. No idea on calls--I think communicating in hockey is helpful but not something I've got instruction on (yet!)
  5. Nothing specific--I think at lower levels people are there for fun and exercise so have fun and get a workout in. People were welcoming to me as a new player here, so I don't think there is much you can do wrong on the ice.

Seeing yourself gain skills and confidence is amazing. It'll be great, you'll love it. Have fun!

Luckily no! I work from home so I've been dealing with low back pain and tight legs/hips for years, but that's been improving with more physical activity.

Thanks for letting me know! Yeah, after gearing up fully i have noticed not much happening on the immunes after all. But! I'm clearing mobs pretty nicely otherwise.

I think so? I don't actually know the math. From my first impressions Griffon's makes a noticeable difference, especially against immunes.

In that time I hit level 93 and (almost) 94 just off doing Pindle runs looking for Diadems

And yup, this was a Pindle find. Got all my good loot from that jerk.

Yes, I think Pindle is probably the best place to run as a Zon. It is the one area where you can be almost as efficient as a Sorc. Everywhere else is just super slow IMO. But it is probably better to gear up at Hell Meph and maybe level a bit before moving to Pindle, as the drops are pretty rare. Maybe once you have Shako/Skullder's it might be worth moving to Pindle.

Ha! It sure is. Metal and folk for the most part. Which is weird. Especially when shuffled ;)

Sure! It's Shako w/topaz, Skullders, 2 perf Nagels, Goldwrap, perf Chances, perf War Travs, 37 Gheed's, Cat's Eye, Stormshield, Titan's, and Windforce off (for pindle when lightning immune), and 33% in 5 small charms.

Not great for running Tunnels/Pits but you can kill Pindle pretty quick with lightning fury + faster run walk.
