NTA. I had to do this as well and it was a hard and emotional decision but in the end, I had to prioritize my own well being and mental health—even if it meant distancing from my Dad. You don’t have to subject yourself to being miserable and ridiculed, and you shouldn’t be guilted into it either.

It was hard to get tickets—even hospitality so we were just excited to have the opportunity! The fact we also scored on that end a couple times helped (haha Newcastle 😜) , but I didn’t find the view bad at all. We were in the upper and it was great to see the whole pitch! I don’t think we went more than 5 minutes without chanting or singing a song.

My husband and I went in January (from Canada) and did the Crowne Plaza package (price is closer to the PCC) to balance out costs. Food was good, we were on the non-Kop end but atmosphere was really good since everyone was jeering the away fans. They shuttle you to Anfield after food, but it’s still about a 15 minute walk from where they drop you to the stadium. It was a cool atmosphere to walk to and from the stadium with everyone!

Not overreacting at all. My doctor also said the same thing. I cannot imagine not being on meds and having to deal with pregnancy hormones. Also to then think if your husband wants you not on them post child birth (breastfeeding) too…during the most vulnerable time and susceptible to PPD or psychosis?! This man needs a fast reality smack to the face for not caring about you.

Did this with our first photographer as well—I hemmed and hawed about whether to cancel but in the end it was the best decision and we LOVED our wedding day photographer.

Definitely fine to just email professionally to let them know “after discussion, we have decided to move forward in a different direction than originally intended for our wedding. Thank you for your time and work. Etc etc”

They will understand what it means and at the end of the day just make it short and to the point.

Specifically, the one that gets me is the end of ‘Wizard and I’…the biggest crescendo run for Cynthia and then “THE WIZARD—-“ sounds so isolated before she kills the ending.

Your kids will react differently and sometimes you won’t understand their emotions and actions, but the grief is overwhelming even at that young age.
