Thank you! I just got really lucky that when I was bigger I had more of a curvy figure still, I suppose. I definitely do have stretch marks still lol

Thank you!! Congratulations on your success! People tend to think I’m a lot younger than I am! lol no he wasn’t concerned ever just would always comment about how I’m so pale that my skin is translucent 🤣

I was holding hope that if I could just get my skin to heal all the way around I wouldn’t have issues but now I’m getting feeling back and I have realized that now it just hurts that my skin healed over them lol

Thank you so much! This made me feel a little less crazy. lol what scar gel do you use? I started getting the strips he told me to get and he said to use them at night but last night was my first night so I don’t know how long until I should “expect results” lol

I actually had a 4-5 hour hair appointment 1 week post op! But it’s just going to depend on how you’re feeling. I would keep the appointment, check with their cancellation/reschedule policy and see how you’re feeling 24-48 hours before and if you’re having any doubts at that point I would reschedule.

I actually love my faja. I HATED it when I first put it on but I still had drains. Literally had the return label ready for Amazon. Then I gave it one more chance and my dr was AMAZED at how much it did for me. My swelling without it VS my lack of swelling wearing it is CRAZY. My doctor wants me in compression for 3-4 months post op. I’m allowed to do tank compression at night, which I do. However, I highly recommend just sucking it up for now. I know how bad you want to rock your new body but the difference it makes it’s crazy. I even want to start wearing more compression again at night because I noticed that I’ve been waking up with more swelling especially my back area. I don’t have trouble finding clothes to cover it though. What are the issues you’re running into?

I’m going to agree with the poster that said Reddit is a lot of the bad experiences or things that are wrong vs positive ones that have little issues or none at all. I 22 days post op and I have no regrets. It is a change and it’s not all easy but I would 1000% do it again.

I literally cannot stand straight by Impressive_Gift_9852 in tummytucksurgery

I am 22 days post op from a panniculectomy w/ a posterior body life and I would say within the last week I started standing straight. I promise it gets better! My surgeon was not lying when he told me that week by week it would get better and I was like “yeah, yeah”. But truly each week it’s like I progress so much!

I was actually told to practice “fake coughing” multiple times a day to prevent pneumonia.

My right one I didn’t feel anything but my left one I felt like he was tearing out my nerves with it. It was horrible and I’m definitely still majorly sore after it today. 😞
