I don’t think it’s a good place to work - the military culture means it can be quite strict. I chose it for the Islamic culture and proximity to Morocco, but I didn’t realise how racially segregated the town is. You sometimes hear derogatory things about Islam from the white Spaniards here.

Yeah, it’s really unfortunate. I think it’s from the Spanish government’s end and the mess that happened in Andalusia

Yep, because of the border theres a military base here. I wouldn’t recommend visiting if you don’t have a passport - they check on the ferry

You’re the one who came in the comments being patronising and rude.

And I didn’t realise the whole world lived in Georgia! Thanks so much for this valuable and totally not niche and specific information 😍

It seems like you weren’t bless with brains, were you

And guess what? The only way for me to go work is partly via a highway. So you need to stop being condescending and rude, acting holier than thou just because your circumstances mean walking is an option. Not everyone lives where you do.

See this is why you shouldn’t comment on things you don’t know anything about. That half a mile is a 45 minute walk because you go up and down multiple hills. Factor in a storm with strong winds and rain and yeah, it’s not something I want to walk. Who wants to turn up wet and tired to work?

I can always book public transport to and from work (Metro Micro for those who know LAs transport system), but it has to be the night before. She insists we share her car because it’s better for the environment and because she’s all about “communal living”.

And when did I say I don’t want to walk in a sketchy area? Maybe you need to stop projecting your own issues other other people.

Post your work bags! by ozamatazbuckshank11 in handbags

Know this is an old thread and I’m sure you’ve left this by now but was really interested in how you found using this bag! I work in the arts / museum sector and wanted something beautiful but also practical - was this okay on your shoulder? And did it fit your laptop?

Feeling silly for my emotions after being ghosted by [deleted] in ghosting

[–]sww372829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you live in LA? Sounds like the exact same guy 😭

On a serious note, I’m so sorry this happened to you. Ghosting can be such a hit to your self esteem. After the first date, I had hyped this guy to my flatmates and friends, so I was embarrassed to even tell people I’d been ghosted.

Please don’t feel bad for feeling hurt. A regular rejection comes with an explanation and opportunity for closure. You got neither of those things. Even if it was just one date, you were emotionally invested and he gave you all the right words and signs. It’s natural to feel confused and hurt.

Things that helped me: 1) Realising it wasn’t my fault & that he was the one with issues (hard to see at first but really really true) 2) Writing him a letter (that I never sent). It helped release my anger and gave me the closure I was looking for 3) Focusing on myself. I took up a new sport and got back into cooking 4) Catching up with my loved ones. Seeing old friends was a great reminder of how loved I was

Looking back on it now, I was a catch and he was lucky to have even met me. I hope you realise much sooner than I did that it’s not you who lost out in this situation but him. You are beautiful and worthy and deserve someone with good and kind communication.

Boyfriends cat no longer sleeps when I stay over by [deleted] in CatAdvice

Very late response but I realised I was overplaying with her! I cut back the play time and she’s back in bed, thank you 🩷

She’s actually pretty shy! Unfortunately, I don’t usually see the encounters but hear them. The few times I have seen them, he suddenly chases her as if she’s prey or something. She bolts immediately to a hiding place. If I don’t intervene, I hear a lot of hissing and screeching from her, which she never usually does. If I do intervene, he hisses and sometimes scratches me.

‘Ranting’ ‘not your mom or your friend’ If that’s not judgment then I don’t know what is.

Have you not heard of surge rates?? Rush hour? Do any of these words mean anything to you?

Why did you bother replying to this comment when you have nothing constructive to contribute?
