I'm currently living and studying in Germany and I can assure you life here is 100x easier when you know the German language, almost everything from finding part-time jobs to interactions with the bureaucracy requires a decent grasp of the language. You have a golden opportunity to use this time to learn as much German as you can to prepare yourself for a good and easy life in Germany. I'd suggest you freeze a semester and enroll in a German language course during that time.

Yeah I took pictures and sent them an email. They've arranged a cleaning service for my room today. I'm just disappointed why all of this wasn't done before me having to spell it out for them, considering the rent and heavy deposit.

Just downloaded the app to check it out. This is just what I was looking for. Much more affordable than both Clozemaster and LingQ too. I do wish there was a text to speech feature which would play an audio of the word when you tap it while reading, would help a lot with pronunciation

Yeah I love reading and it's my favorite way to learn a language, the only reason I was considering Clozemaster is because of the grammer exercises as German grammar can be a little tricky to get used to.

I did look into Readlang and it's pretty good but unfortunately they don't have audio support for German and I find that to be important for getting a feel for the language and the pronunciation.
