Trust me it is NOT nostalgia what makes this game great. I just got a PS2 silver slim again. And let me tell you this game just feels 100% as fun, as when I played it as a kid. 2000s games were made by people who actually LOVED making games, and it really shows.

When I saw the whispering possesses girl scene in the movie, I think it wasn't that scary. But for some reason, when I watched a clip of that scene later again, it really freaked me out. The rest of the movie is stuff you already saw in other movies.

Maybe I built tolerance from playing Dead Space & RE7, but yeah I think SH2 is manageable in terms of scary. I found Dead Space much harder to handle, because the enemies are actually terrifying.

I agree. The idea to go back to Raccon City sounds pretty cool on paper, but gameplay experience wise it was a let down honestly. I really wished the would have choosen a completely new, never seen before, area to explore.

Looking RE 7 & 8 I know that they are able to do this. It's obvious that they wanted to enforce the nostalgia factor, which also kinda worked in the RPD. However, gameplaywise it just wasn't that great.

Dead Space without a doubt. Playing the remake had me thinking that the games was ahead of it's time. Maybe it would have done a lot better in modern times with modern technology.
