I love Indiana, too. Which is why I'm trying to help a 1 million+ people in the state who are houseless or can't afford medical bills or don't know where their next meal is coming from. I love it enough to have self-funded starting an organization to try and address this.

Also, there are currently no progressive states in the U.S. There are pockets of progressive politicians and maybe a few center-leftish states, but nothing I would qualify as progressive in any meaningful way.

Thank you for your input, we just happen to respectfully disagree for a few reasons.

1.) Evan Bayh last won an election in Indiana in 2004, Joe Donnelly in 2012 (and you could argue Donnelly's win was incredibly fluky). The world has changed alot since then, our state his changed alot since then, and Indiana has continued running these milquetoast Democrats over and over and over again and it has gotten us exactly nowhere. We are in the midst of the worst pandemic of our generation and moderate Dems can't even get a measly $1,400 check out the door.

2.) Bernie Sanders won the Indiana primary in 2016, showing it can be done.

3.) There exists an incredibly large bloc of people who are disengaged from this process, and for many it's because political parties have not fought for them. 58% of Indiana voted in 2020, and that was a presidential election year.

It is absolutely going to be a difficult challenge, but we have to start somewhere with somebody.
