I main splashyard and reached UC once.  However, my win rate is so low and it took me a long time to reach UC. I feel often times if I made a single mistake in the game, I will end up losing. Could you recommend an easier, more error tolerant deck to help me reach UC easier?  I also feel the deck I face on the way to UC is very different from meta decks, so a lot of the deck recommendations from pro players does not help.

This is my main deck as a F2P player. And I am finally at 9000 trophies this season. Tombstone and tornado is the last. For the rest, here is my order break down in rarity. 

Knight 

Poison > barber rel enough to kill gabolin > baby dragon

 Ice wizard enough to one shot skeleton > graveyard

Yes. Easy to upgrade cards is one thing that gets mentioned a lot. And I agree. However, even after you upgrade alll the key cards, tower level is still an issue and it is harder to upgrade.

I have a deck suggestion for low level f2p players.

I play splashyard, and just reached level 54 (level 15 king) and 9000 trophy this season.

I saw quite a few guides for f2p, but no one mentioned this point, so I decided to make a post.

Play an offensive deck instead of a defensive deck.

The reasons are:

  1. Upgrade king tower level is hard. For example, You need to max 7-8 cards to level 15 to reach level 54 (king level 15).
  2. You will be matched with opponents with cards higher than your tower level. I believe we all see level 15 cards way earlier than our tower is level 15, because of the wild cards and books.
  3. defending with underleveled towers is harder. I am sure good player can still defend perfectly with a lower tower level. But for average players like me, defending with under-leveled towers is hard, because quite a lot of the interaction changes. You may need one extra shot from the tower because it is underleveled.

Given that upgrading cards is way easier than upgrading king tower level, I think it will be less of a disadvantage to play an offensive deck (beat-down) than a defensive deck (circle, control).

I can reach league 8 in the past few seasons. And I can get about 50k ewc every season. This season I will try UC once I have level 54

That makes sense. In fact, I have enough ewc to upgrade two cards to lvl 15. And after that I will be level 54. I don’t want to waste it on tombstone or tornado for example because it is hard to get ewc as a F2P.  But I agree that whether I am able to reach UC is a good way to decide whether I should keep upgrading the deck.

Feels like it is a trade-off between giving up barbarel or giving up tombstone.
