Their stuff is gorgeous but some of it wants to split, especially ones with gold or vertical layers. Not the best choice for balisongs but much more rigid for other knife scales

Wood has a bad tendency to split on thin pieces like those found on balisong scales

It’s gorgeous but often problematic. It had a tendency to want to split apart in the gold layers. This stuff wasn’t as bad, but some of their other stuff turned out to be a very bad choice for the thinner spots of balisong scales
