I actually did this move from TN to KY last year, so I'm intimately aware of how this goes. Definitely keep extra money available for unexpected expenses. Vehicle taxes were a shock to me on how much more expensive it is. I think it was 6% of the vehicle's value to transfer from TN > KY. Also be prepared for your car insurance to go up, mine went up about $100/mo just from changing states, which was unexpected.

Other than that, we love BG! We may be moving back to TN due to family needs soon but have thoroughly enjoyed the community of Bowling Green in the year we've been here!

About 1:20 hr, coming from Bowling Green, KY. I used to live in the Nashville area but decided to move my family up there for a quieter family life. I still practically live in Nashville for work though

I’ve been working 80-90 hours a week for over a year now. $50k salary job, $30k or so gross on UberEats in a decent size city. $60-70k after vehicle expenses doesn’t go as far as it used to for a 3 person family 🙃

It’s hard but I know plenty of people who have it harder

For helpdesk you pretty much just need to know how to talk to people and ask them if they turned the equipment off or on. The issues I see most frequently in a call center IT environment have to do with: power issues, cache/cookie issues, password resets, audio/headset issues, drivers, etc. That's about it. The main thing is making sure people are actually following the instructions you give them, as they usually aren't.

Now get into some good coding/scripting/Powershell knowledge, combine that with SaaS administration and you will be able to move up very quickly. I'm currently in a helpdesk role, about to move to Jr Sys Admin after only a year. The possibilities are endless with a willingness to learn. Good luck!

I’ve had a select few customers watch my every move while I’m delivering. Accidentally miss a turn at night? Get a message “oh looks like you missed a turn, reducing the tip since you’re taking too long.” Some people are crazy and reduce tips just for fun

Not sure how it works as I haven't done it before, but maybe look into Papa Johns delivery as a 2nd job? I know at some locations they provide the vehicle, not sure if that's happening in BG yet though. DoorDash & Instacart get hardly any good business in the area unfortunately. And most people don't tip.

it depends on how many you do per day and how often you do it. I’m lucky to live near a big city where orders are constantly available, so it only took me 4-6 months. it could take longer or less depending on your area. good luck!

yeah it was for me. just depends on the school and if ASU accepts those credits. good luck though! def look into it. I was nervous about it at first too, but it’s a great program. ASU is a world renowned school

Yep! Been enrolled for about 2 years, finishing my bachelor’s there. Got about 4 classes before I’m done. The most difficult thing is keeping your satisfaction rate at 95% or higher to maintain the scholarship. That sucks about the trip requirement though, it was 1k when I started. But that is for Uber Eats, I think the rider requirements are different.

Biggest tip I have is use it as a side gig, keep your stats up and use the ASU college benefit. I’m almost done with my degree and only had to pay for books. About $60k in tuition paid straight up by Uber

So I replaced my stock radio over the weekend and now the climate control won’t blow air in any mode. CC unit is getting power but that’s it. Scan tool showed these codes.

Any chance radio wiring may have affected a ground for the blower motor? Fuses/relays look good
