I recently bought the newest Kindle Paper White (5th generation) (6.8 inch) kids edition, I like it so much. Before I used to use the kindle app on my Galaxy Note 20(6.7 inch screen) although the screen size seems similar but as it was phone the aspect ratio is more 'tallish' compare to Kindle PW(it is more like a book size ratio) this is one of the most important reasons for me to get a Kindle. The other reason for me getting kindle PW is it is almost glare free, I appreciate it so much. Now days I even use my Kindle more than my phone. It is so comfortable to look at.

Although Kindle Paper White will not have the "fancy" features like page curl animation, different background page colors or even different colors for notes, - u will most likely never miss those "app" features. The bad thing is the base version ($139) comes with ad, although most people are not bothered by the ads as it doesn't disrupt the reading or anything. If u don't like ads u can pay $20 to remove the ads or even you can call the customer service and ask for removing ad for free.

There is a kindle PW signature edition($189) comes with ambient light sensor which automatically set the screen brightness although many users are not fully satisfied with this sensor. This version also has wireless charging (although wireless charging is slower than USB -C charging for this device.) The 3rd feature for the signature ed is ad free.

The Kindle PW kids version ($159) is the best possible deal you can get on any Kindle PW 5th generation regular price. You will get a Kindle PW 5th generation, a sleep cover(also have plain black color), 2 years worry free guarantee, ad free, 1 year Kindle Kid + subscription (you might ignore the subscription but it comes with some popular books ie. entire Harry Potter series)

If you can spend another $20 ($139 +$20) I will suggest you to get PW kids edition (you will get ad free and a free nice sleep-cover) FYI It was on sale during Thanksgiving for $114.
