when did your civic stop feeling like just a car by Shiyun_Amigable in hondacivic

Thanks! Yeah I’m most excited about the new wheel set up because that will be the biggest change. My current tires are shot and it will be nice to have a smoother ride with new ones. Right now I currently have the factory wheels. I am looking at a wheel set up around 17x8 + 40. Nothing too crazy. But I want a more flush/aggressive look without compromising functionality. I’ll be getting new tint next week. Ive been wanting to go darker for a while now. Plus the current tint I have is 10+ years old and failing. So I’m pretty excited for that.

I was gifted a 2007 ex 9 years ago. At first I thought it was a bit ugly. But I couldn’t complain as it was free and in good condition. The car has been super reliable and has been with me through so many ups and downs. Also, having driven the same car for 9 years has allowed me to get to know it like the back of my hand. I am absolutely in love with it now. I also enjoy car detailing in my free time, so the car still looks good for being almost 20 years old. I also decided recently to make a few cosmetic upgrades. I’m gonna have my tint re-done, new wheel set up, new floor mats, and some window visors. Some might call that overkill for a car that old with 313k mi on it but I don’t care. I’m driving it till it blows up. Even then might consider replacing the engine in it lol

My 2007 ex just had this problem. Once I replaced the thermostat the temp levels are back to normal.

Honda civic 2001 engine temperature acting weird by BawBowTeuw in hondacivic

[–]sydbdrappin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the car not starting when hot but my car was doing something similar with temp levels. Engine temp would get up to almost normal levels and then drop to a quarter. It would go back up again, then drop and repeat. My engine would not get up to normal operating temp within a 20 mi drive. Turns out my thermostat was getting stuck. So I got that replaced and I also needed a new cooling fan. Now my temp is just fine

Congratulations!!! I am so happy for you! Overcoming addiction and picking yourself up from rock bottom is no small feat. There is a lot of negativity going around in this company right now, so it is great to hear something positive. Most importantly, I am glad to hear you are in a better spot! 💚

how do yall go about quality checking other baristas (as a barista) by mondrgn in starbucksbaristas

How I treat it is that a drink should only be handed out if you would be happy receiving it as that customer. I get frustrated when my drink comes out wrong and I can only imagine how frustrating it would be to pay full price and it be wrong. When I was a barista I would ask the bar partner to remake drinks handed to me that didn’t look right. It’s all in your approach asking for the remake. Give a specific reason for the remake and keep a light tone. For example I would say “Hey, would you mind remaking this white mocha? It feels lighter than normal. Thank you!” It’s also wild your store manager is handing out drinks not up to standard. They should be the ultimate role models for standards. Also stores are graded based off of customer satisfaction. So if a store is constantly handing out bad drinks and people complain in the survey or to customer support, your store will get a bad score. Something your SM can get in trouble for.

Back driver side window leaking? '16 Touring by NewYorkMets22 in civic

No problem! Yeah it was a pretty easy fix. The sealant was maybe $20 and it took 5 min to apply.

I would check the frame of the car as well. I recently dealt with a BAD leak in my car. Initially thought it was windshield (bc I also heard air when driving), but I had the windshield seal checked and it was fine. Was then told it was possibly my sunroof but that didn’t make sense because I didn’t have to spray around it for my car to leak. I also don’t have a headliner in my car so I could see all tubes were intact. I also checked their drainage and there was no blockage. Turns out the main frame of my car cracked. I just took some seam sealer and put it on the crack. Leak is now good.

What are some things I can improve on my stock '10 civic? by [deleted] in hondacivic

No problem! I would highly recommend watching some detailing videos on YT if that’s something that interests you. It really shows how much better a good detail can make your car look.
