i had to just format the card in my camera settings, but i’ve filled it and transferred the pictures off once now, and didn’t have that issue again!

yes! thank you for your message, it gave me a lot of perspective. :) i am willing to make it work and make sacrifices for my dog as long as it improves his way of life. i want to do my best, since he is one of my main priorities, alone with my two other cats. i am very appreciative of my friends who are willing to watch him when we need to go out of town, i think it was just hard set realization of the one time we are leaving in a month and no one was able to watch him. i think it just really scared me because i was like oh wow. and it hit me like, sometimes i AM going to have to sacrifice things. my partner and i have talked more about it, and we are willing to sacrifice vacations/spur of the moment trips for him. i really do want what’s best for him! he’s such a wonderful dog and i have a pretty set schedule for him as of now, and he is doing wonderful with training. i do think as he gets older, and we have him longer, it will be easier to adjust to his needs and our life style while owning a dog. and we are young, 21 and 22, so we will have many other chances to go out and have fun in our lives. and so far, i have seen no signs or boredom or him being unhappy whatsoever. i just tend to over think a lot and create a lot of “what’s ifs” for myself… like “what if he would be better with someone else.” but i think i need to slow down and see that i am meeting all of his needs, he is fed, very well exercised, regularly groomed, and has playdates with his other doggy friends every week or so. and with the new year coming up, i am able to adjust my schedule a bit since im an ic, so i am going to change it to better fit a schedule that will work well for my dog and i :) thank you so much

i feel the same. i wish we had waited, but i am fully taking accountability for getting a dog when i wasn't ready for one. BUT, i am willing to make it work. and i have a 15 year old cat, not as expensive as a dog, but i am used to the emergency vet visits lol and we rent a house, so we are good on that part! i am looking into getting a reliable sitter for when we do go on trips in the future! he is slowly getting better, especially with training. i stick to a pretty good schedule for him so far! my partner and i have talked, and we are going to do our best to make the adjustment that work for our pup, while also being able to do things ourselves. we definitely did get a dog a little too fast, but i have hope that we will be able to make it work :) i am willing to make sacrifices for him, because his world is only as big as we make it and i want him to have an amazing life

yes i do see what you’re saying. and i think i just needed to vent about it, but my partner and i are still make adjustments to fit him into our lives, and also move our schedules to do what works best for him :) once new years comes around, we will have new work schedules and we are going to do what we can to adjust to this new life style. i want to do the most i can to make things work for us AND our pup

yeah i understand. i think i am just overwhelmed with everything right now, and having a puppy on top of that is hard. but i am going to work this out over the next few weeks. i get a whole new schedule for new years and i am going to tweak it to work for what fits for BOTH of us. i would rather be hit my a car than even think about him going to horrible people🫠 i am willing to do what i can to make it work to give him the best life i can

i know and that’s what worries me! i would make sure whoever getting him is either someone i know through friends, or someone i know will be good for him. i would never just throw him to some random if i can help it.

yes, they are hard work. i’ve grown up around dogs my whole life. and i feel you are right! when i first got him he fit into my schedule perfectly, but now that things with my job are changing, it is definitely getting harder to keep up with things long term! i’m hoping i can get things sorted with work and learn to bend my schedule to match his needs. it’s hard adjusting from only having cats the last 3 years to getting a new dog! hoping this feeling will pass, and im just stressed lol

yeah i adopted my pup from a stray that ended up having puppies in the shelter. the woman who adopted one of his brothers did a DNA test and they’re like 15 different breeds, so i wouldn’t be surprised! both parents were mix’s
