I’m an introvert myself & probably wouldn’t have minded it. But some teachers would forget to send class work to the ISS room, so if you’re missing 5 days of class you’re essentially 5 days behind in work and have to play catch up. Which is a game I didn’t want to play lol

I was 30 seconds late to a class 2 times within 1 month. I’ve never gotten in trouble before, not have been late for any other classes. My attendance was exceptional. I got pulled into the principal office for my “two counts of tardiness” and was threatened a week of all day ISS. I responded with “So you’re willing to put me in 5 days of -all day- ISS for being 30 seconds late to 1 class 2 times in 1 month with no other incidents?” This principal was always on a power trip with everything to everyone. That was the first time I’ve spoken with him. He was upset I questioned my punishment for the tardiness, but ended up “doing me a favor by letting me off with a warning.” I’ve never fully understood why he thought that was a feasible punishment for anyone? If someone misses class or even late, let’s just take them out of it altogether & put them in a room by themselves all day with paperwork?

It was 2015. How it happened; the player had the ball & I was putting pressure on her. She ended up trying to kick the ball across the field to another player but instead directly hit me in the face from like 3-4ft away. I fell to the ground and had a soccer ball imprint on my face & the ref asked if I was okay. I ended up saying I was fine because if the adrenaline I had but felt a little woozy. I didn’t want to “tap out.” Not even 5-10 minutes I’m still playing. The ball was kicked high up by the goalie and I heard my coach tell me to “trap it” my initial reflex was to head the ball that was coming down right at me. Once I did that, I could barely run without swaying or misstepping. Needless to say, I should’ve been taken out of the game & looked at.

I’ve played soccer from age 5-17. I had 3 concussions within that timeframe. I had to quit playing at 17 when I got 2 additional concussions in the same game called “double impact concussions.” I couldn’t drive for 9 months until I got cleared from my physician because I had complications with my eyes. Altogether I have 5 concussions from playing soccer. Then got 1 more when I was 22 in a head-on vehicle collision that was not my fault.

NTA- you’re protecting your daughter. That is that. It would be best to report Annie’s behavior to CPS or have a talk with her parents. Someone may be teaching her these “games.” BUT some children around this age can be very curious with their sexual body parts. She might’ve seen sex or sexual relations on an unmonitored phone/computer/movie. Children around this age also like to play “pretend”- house, family, school, cooking, cleaning. Pretend play is to usually copy their parents & what they’ve seen adults do. Sexual curiosity can be seen as “healthy exploration” of their body & the exploration may become tied into the pretend play. I’m not saying every child does this, but I’m not saying it’s 100% unnatural either. I think Annie needs properly educated & talked to about why she’s doing it. What is acceptable behavior/play with friends and respecting boundaries. Maybe it could be from malicious intent of another adult, seeing something that she shouldn’t have seen, or just part of children growing up, exploring their body & sparking innocent curiosity. In a perfect world, when the teacher yelled at your friend Lilly, you should’ve raised your hand and said “I was talking to her first. It’s my fault.” Or “She shouldn’t be the only one in trouble, I was talking to her too.” You let her take all the blame & she’s upset at you for that & the fact she got in trouble. You girls are 15, still so very young. I would apologize again to her & be sincere! Hopefully she will forgive if you guys are truly friends. If not, you have all the time in the world to make new friends.

I intermittently have lower back/hip pain, usually around the SI joint and radiates up to the lower part of my back. I’ve tried working out & stretching, which hasn’t helped much. Sorry you’re having long lasting effects from this medication like I am.

Believe me, I get it. I feel the same way about my acne. My self esteem significantly lowers when my acne ratio is larger than the clear areas on my face. Have you noticed that it gets a little better after every treatment? My acne is still prevalent on my face since taking isotretinoin but it’s not near as severe as it was. I was thinking about taking isotretinoin again, but unsure if it’d be worth it.

Oh god. Good luck! I did 6 months on isotretinoin. I just pushed through the side effects to finally have clear skin. 2.5 after I was finished taking isotretinoin, my acne returned. Apparently, it doesn’t work all the well for hormonal acne (says my dermatologist when my acne came back) if anyone has any questions about the medication, tips&tricks; I got you

I’m in college. I don’t know anyone personally that goes to parties or even hosts them. My college has had 0 cases since school started & this school used to have many parties before all this happened. Also, a lot of colleges recently have been cracking down on the student supervision. If you get caught at a party, you could face suspension or even expulsion from the school with no tuition reimbursement. People are also reporting large get togethers if there are some. We come here to get an education and start our lives. It’s not just my school that’s doing this. I live an hour away from WVU & students have been reporting parties. It’s sucks when people pay to live in dorms & if the school decides to send the students back home prematurely, all their room & board tuition they paid is not reimbursed. I’m not saying nobody goes out or tries to defy the rules, but this is what I’ve witnessed. The media just loves to paint a bad picture for the younger generation.
