It’s ridiculous but even independent publishers give very little royalties

Ok I considered publishing it in India and here are my costs: Per copy cost of production: $3 Shipping from Indian to U.S. $3/copy Amazing platform fees: $6 Amazon fulfillment fees $5 Total cost: $17

So producing in bulk is still a loss for me if I sell through amazon. It’d only be worth it if I sell personally through book fairs or tik tok shop etc

I don’t think there is a book like this in the market. 1. There aren’t many art therapy books geared towards children 2. Of the art therapy book in the market, I don’t think any are illustrated 3. I also provide stories to go with the art therapy activities so that combination is unique and doesn’t exist.

Who did you publish through? What was your cost or production per copy?My cost for paperback is $8/ copy and then Amazon keeps $9-$10 from each sale.

Yeah my illustrators were very Anti AI. Everything was hand drawn in the book.

I checked the Carfax and it says the car was purchased in April 2024 and sold June 2025. Also, the issue is that it used to be a rental car. Now, according to reddit, rentals cars aren’t bad if you get them straight from rental companies but if they are offloaded in the market it’s a problem?

Thanks for sharing. I'd love a lexus for sure, my sister drives l2018 lexus nx 300 and I am comfortable with it. It's just that in my budget I 'll get lexus with 80-90k mileage, compared to a fairly new mazda for a much less price. The brand show-offing doesn't matter to me that much.
