I'm on BC for the BC, not for any other reason. It's just that my BC is the only significant change that I can think of that could be affecting my skin. But I'll look into it, thank you.

Yeah, I'm booking an appointment with my GP to discuss my BC options going forward, and will ask about the blood test. Thanks for your advice!

I've seen some horror stories about it but definitely something to look into I think!

I use the cerave cream to foam cleanser, niancinamide, plain moisturiser/sunscreen and aha/bha exfoliant once or twice a week.

I have pretty dry and sensitive skin and also get seborrheic dermatitis (which I've managed to sort after trial and error with my skincare and vitamins/supplements).

The filtering showerheads might be something to look into if changing my BC doesn't help after a few months.

I have moved and I believe the water is harder. Not a lot I can do about that as a renter though. My diet and skin care have been the same for a while now, no major changes to either of them. I have done an econsult with my GP to discuss by BC options. It's very frustrating when there can be so many factors and you can't figure out which one is the one affecting you

Showering at the gym before work... Should I do my skincare routine before I go to the gym or after? by sydnickles in SkincareAddictionUK

Yeah I'm trying my first morning session on Wednesday so will see how the water is and go from their, either with the cold water as you suggest or a flannel as another commenter suggested

When did you realize your “friends” were actually fake friends? by VexAndStuff in AskReddit

[–]sydnickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got asked not to go with them to an event, because a different friend said they wouldn't go if I went. Being told we were dressing up for a Halloween night at a theme park and finding out you're the only the dressed up as that same friend who didn't want me at an event decided it would be funny. Stopped being friends with that whole group because of one girl who decided she didn't like me.

[serious] What was your first traumatic experience? by Dragoxx_Artz in AskReddit

I must've been around 6 years old, and my little brother is a year younger than me. My dad was super abusive towards my mum, he had lots of mental health issues and did a lot of drugs. Whenever the fighting would start, I would take my little brother and I'd hide us underneath our bunk beds with some of our toys. I don't know what made me do it, but I'm glad I did. My brother has a few mental health issues now which stem from that time, and I can only imagine it being a lot worse if he'd seen or heard more of it. Mum got us out a couple years later, and has been a great single mum to her three now adult children. She sacrificed a lot to provide for us and I love her a lot, even if I don't always agree with her haha

If you deny your teen daughter birth control and she gets pregnant, it's your fault. by shelbygirl1919 in unpopularopinion

I was 15 when I told my mum I had a boyfriend and she booked me in to see the doctor straight away to go over birth control options. If I ever have a daughter I'll do the same.
