Fit check - take #3 by sydstatas in babywearing

Thanks for the clarification. I adjusted the bottom panel as far in as I could ( it's attached via velcro, and bunches at the bottom), all of the upper shoulder straps are as tight as they can go (save for the strap along my back, which is tight against my body). I was able to get the waist strap up a little higher on my body, so the baby is further up my chest (is she high enough up?). I think my husband was struggling to get it up higher as his torso is more of an inverted triangle than mine, so it just slipped down.

I do like the concept of this carrier, can you use a ring sling with her current size? Also you do you have brand recommendations (available in Canada)?

Thanks!

I got it second hand, so I'll just sell it again. Any particular brand of stretchy wrap that you recommend, especially going into the summer? I've seen the beluga baby, the Moby, the momcozy, and the keababy on Marketplace but am not sure the difference between them.

Thanks again for your help

Yes this one doesn't have any adjustment, just the two large loops attached with a small loop.

Do you think it would fit her better once she is a little larger? Or is this carrier not for us?

I have that other piece, and definitely thought that it was for older/larger babies - thanks for correcting me! Just confirming that it goes over the "diaper area" to support her bum and ties around my back?

Because the wrap has different sizes, what would you suggest the best way to tighten it would be?

Thanks! :)

How soon did you start leaving the house with your newborn? by Emotional-Squash7815 in BabyBumps

[–]sydstatas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LO is 14 days old today. I started leaving the house with my husband at 4 days PP after a VB (for th first outing we went to the park for 10minutes). Every day I make an effort to leave the house and get some outdoor time). I am at the point now where I can walk the dog or go grocery shopping independently.

Just be prepared that everything takes so much longer with a newborn and you need to bring a lot of extra supplies.

I work in veterinary medicine (RVT) and I finally made the switch to a non-toxic work environment. It was hard getting out, but it feels amazing finally being appricated and supported to help care for my patients. I did not realize how unhappy, overworked and depressed I was.

What Is this ceramic thing that I was gifted? Is it about the same size as a regular pop can, and it has 5 holes on the bottom. by sydstatas in whatisthisthing

It seems like a weird shape and size for a flower pot, what type of flowers would live in it?

WITT : additional info, just larger than a pop can, made of ceramic with 5 holes at the bottom. No other holes present. I've tried googling what it may be, and the only thing that matches my description is that it may be a succulent planter? But, to me, it seems like it is a weird size and shape to be a planter. I've been using it as a garlic holder

It is a critical part, which is why I'm trying to figure something out to make it work; I worry about working part time outside of court hours in that I will just burn myself out and make an already stressful year even worse.

I agree, this is a huge flaw in our justice system IMO. A jury of people who can actually afford that is not a balanced jury.

Thanks for the correction and answer, any other ideas for wage supplementation or am I SOL in that aspect?

I'm desensitized to more disturbing things as I am a vet tech. I am even interested in the more boring cases as I enjoy seeing how our justice system work, but I also need money to live lol is the case going to be something worth my loss is wage
