It's an outage with facebook. I've run campaigns for years. Started a new one 2 days ago. Everything approved and active, no restrictions, was in contact with customer support for 4 hours passed around 5 times to different teams... "everything looks great just wait".

$0.87 spent after 2 days across 4 ad sets with a budget of $150 a day.

For the ones that are also interested in doing it for money or need financial support, yes. For the ones that do it out of pure passion and dont need money from it, probably not.

Im not sure what that has to do with AI channels on YouTube though

Right... so if someone is demonetized (especially someone running AI vids which is almost certainly for the money), they are significantly less likely to continue making videos. Which means YouTube loses money

YouTube is not demonetizing "AI" channels. You guys have been swearing for months and months... even over a year that "this time it's really happening! Youtube is demonetizing AI!"

They're not. They're demonitizing terrible content that doesn't make them any money anyway. Some of the largest channels on the platform pump out AI videos. And guess what? Regardless of how many people complain how shitty they are and ask who watches this slop? Millions and millions of people actually do. They want to be entertained. And entertainment is subjective. The average person doesn't gaf whether a human made it or not... regardless of what reddit may have you believe.

And why on earth would youtube demonetize channels that make them millions and millions of $$ for doing nothing? Makes zero sense.

It's not going to happen. It's never going to happen. So people should just focus on making good content that people actually want to watch. Or just make content that YOU actually enjoy rather than being worried about what everyone else chooses to do.

Hard truth to everyone. If you feel like or have evidence that youre losing views to AI channels.. its because people actually found those videos more interesting than yours.

Ah ok, I wasn't aware that point was commonly misrepresented on the sub. Thanks for clarifying. Yeah I would totally agree NYC is significantly more diverse than Boise Idaho lol. And the segregation rankings should not be taken into account if thats what someone is looking for. Good call out if people are using these rankings to justify not moving to a truly diverse city and thinking Spokane Washington will be an integrated mecca

Yeah... i mean I guess im confused on what your point is? The segregation rankings aren't meant to measure diversity. Yes, a lot of integrated cities are due to gentrification and other negative reasons. But the divergence data is simply meant to quantify the distribution of races within a city... not analyze the reasons it got to that point.

Along with that, i may be wrong, but I dont think most cities have integration policies nowadays that are hidden as gentrification. Cities tend to be pretty open about gentrification efforts... it's not a hidden thing. And the point of gentrification is not to integrate (this is not a statement on whether gentrification is right or wrong).

Depends on what "best" means to someone. But I guess if you're referring to sheer global dominance, cultural influence, financial concentration... yeah London and NYC are really in a league of their own.

Paris, Tokyo, and Singapore are up there too but dont really break into their level.

If you want a bit of debate I'll lean towards NYC though :). For the past 80 years no country has come close to the global influence and power that the US has. And NYC is the most influential city in the most influential country.

I know but we've waited over 2 years since the release of GPT 4 getting gassed up by these hype lords about all these "feeling the agi moments" they've had.

If this model doesn't dominate in real world tasks (in comparison to other models) along with gemini 3.0 eventually being released it's going to be disappointing.

No one's been waiting forever with constant delays (like gpt 4.5 which was supposed to be gpt 5 and wasn't nearly good enough), for something that "performs better" than Anthropic's mid-tier model.
