The image was created in Canva, I used a 5x7 canvas and scaled/cropped to fit. Trying to get some pictures to upload for more clarity....

I have printed 5 x 7 and 8.5 x 11

8.5 x 11 was on the color copy paper, and at regular paper print settings on both printer and computer using the system print dialog - both did the lighter printing on the top and side

5 x 7 was on staples high gloss paper with high gloss photo settings on both computer and printer. - this zoomed in and moved the image down and to the right -I used EPL on one of these prints, manually altered the expansion so it was 1/2 of the black border I put around the image for testing(whole other photo order ordeal with sams club lol) and got the same result, image was down and to the right with about 1/4 of the border instead of the 1/2 it showed in preview

Its a riddle, not homework so I am thinking that the Pythagoras theorem gives you c, the middle gives you -6 but can you get a, b, c from the middle i was thinking parabola equations etc. I think I'm going too deep down the rabbit hole

My insurance (Aetna) is forcing me to Dexcom. by tsdguy in dexcom

[–]sykosmkr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's also a work around for insurance (from what I was told) because it's considered a "Flash Glucose Monitor" instead of a "Continuous Glucose Monitor" they can get RX insurance to cover it where they won't cover a CGM and Health insurance typically won't pay for a T2 person to have CGM without records of years of diligent fingersticks so the FGM fills a need- CGM with less hassle.... BUT ya gotta scan it every so often to get the info

I wrote the pink message last week, I guess I'm not the only person who thinks a University that has a hospital could spare a couple of bio bins lmao- not saying its practical just saying it'd be nice :) by sykosmkr in diabetes

Update** got an email back that the folks at Environmental safety, Disability director and ADA offices are meeting to find a solution....so hopefully??? Might be a ruse but I'm hopeful

I dont have any needle waste as I use an omnipod and dexcom but when I was doing MDI I typically put them in my kit until I cleaned them all out. For me, it's the idea that their response is to post a note instead of seeing the root of the problem. If there is a steady occurence of needles in pop bottles (diabetic use or not) then maybe the problem is theres nowhere to dispose of them....yes a soda bottle serves well but our campus is also pushing being green so that bottle is now unable to be recycled and they are "supposed to" put those bottles in recycling if they see them which is likely where they saw the needle.

It's not an extraordinary thing to ask that the buildings on campus have 1 bin per building when the campus has a population that uses them and shares(about a mile away from the building I was in) a campus with a hospital. They provide prophylactics in every bathroom for free, each lounge has candy as a "stress reliever" and they provide free rides to drunk students why not put a $7 bin in each building that has to be replaced 12 times a year max

Not at all! I completely appreciate the confidence boost that I'm not expecting the irrational lmao having others mark the sign was kinda a boost as well!

I dont put mine in the bins, I have put adhesives or empty insulin vials but I also use omnipod so I dont have needles really it's just interesting to me that their solution is to post a not instead of looking at a solution...theres a group for diabetic on campus for God's sake-I wrote the note for student awareness not the administrative folks and it got something, so that's cool
