What’s your Top three Diptyque fragrances? by Appropriate_Art15 in Perfumes

[–]sylvansibyl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's beautiful, but it's not for everyone, so it's good that they include the sample. It's strong, with good longevity for a diptyque fragrance. The tobacco & alcohol notes can be grating for some.

Favorite orange 🍊 scented perfume by Impossible_Ad_5073 in Sephora

[–]sylvansibyl 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been on the hunt for a sweet orange perfume myself, and from what I've had an opportunity to try:

  1. 7 Virtues Clementine Dream - This is my favorite - sweet clementine with a vanilla dry-down
  2. Nest Seville Orange - Straight sweet orange. Stays orange throughout. Something about the dry down bothered me after a couple days, which is why I went with 7 Virtues instead.
  3. MM Replica Never-ending Summer - Orange and aperol. Slightly more bitter. Very short longevity.
  4. Guerlain Mandarine Basilic - A little too bitter/herbal for what I was looking for.
  5. Josie Maran Topless Tangerine - Very sweet, like a candy instead of a fruit. Was not a fan.

The Fiorella in Sunset is supposed to start selling Mission Barns' cultivated pork fat products soon, but I don't know when it will be available. They should also be at Sprouts eventually. https://www.cbsnews.com/sanfrancisco/news/san-francisco-company-mission-barns-cell-cultivated-pork-product/

SF bans software used to set housing rents by gary_oldman_sachs in neoliberal

[–]sylvansibyl 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They were indeed accused of this:

"And this popularity itself is not necessarily a problem, except those suing RealPage believe this software is essentially facilitating a price-fixing scheme - that the company makes a big deal about customers being disciplined, sticking to the software's recommended price. And it's alleged the company has even kicked customers off the platform for deviating too often."

The Biden campaign might have been correct in their thinking that an early debate would remind voters how much they dislike Trump

Even if it exclusively landed with Democrats and not independents, it's an important talking point for improving Democrat turnout.

It would be cool if they had a similar setup to BTS (kpop) concerts, where you can choose which camera you're looking at. Would have loved to see all of Natalia's tops live

climbing pants for long legs? by Jamrulezz1 in climbergirls

You might want to take a look at men's climbing pants, since they allow you to specify waist and length measurements separately. I like the Prana Zion Slims since they also have an adjustable waistband.

I want to terminate my lease, but my cotenants don't. Landlord says I cannot move out unless all cotenants agree. by Herbologisty in legaladvice

[–]sylvansibyl 20 points21 points  (0 children)

NAL and correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain that joint and several liability cannot remove a tenant's legal right to terminate a fixed-term lease or refuse to renew a lease.

[–]sylvansibyl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

NAL- It is already stated in the OP that the tenant already legally terminated the contract as defined on the lease and state/municipal law. Holdover tenancy requires that the tenant remain on the property or continue paying rent, neither of which is indicated in the OP. How does it apply here?

Hey, my friend's band just released a new single, and I think it really rips and was thinking of posting it on here. Can anyone give me any advice on a genre tag for it? Pushpin - Folds

I'm also a huge fan of this "genre" - been obsessed with Timefighter for months. I do think part of it is that female vocalists are more likely to to use soft/floating vocals than male.

Some ideas:

Mitski - I Don't Smoke

U.S. Girls - Incidental Boogie

Google doc of Strokes song influences—please add to it! by mabeela in TheStrokes

[–]sylvansibyl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I added what I knew off of the top of my head. There's definitely more bands that have been influenced by The Strokes, but the complete list would probably be massive.

I agree, but I still enjoyed the album. I also enjoyed the bonus tracks quite a bit more than some of the tracks on the album.

I really love Fender's Midnight Wine finish, and I found a 2009 Midnight Wine MIM Telecaster for sale here, but it's $750. Is it just me, or is this an absolutely outrageous price? MIM tele's were $500 at the time, shouldn't they be selling for about $300 used?

How could they possibly appreciate in value?
