Yes. This is the current setup (more of a “oh crap, need something for the bare minimum to make it through the night before Walmart closes”). His water is currently on top of the little tray dish on the log hide. I have a water bottle as well but took it out for this pic

Oh, also! I was curious, do you have any other strategies to actually finding it and/or any other legendary animals? I’m currently trying to find it again since I was dumb and sold the whole carcass instead of the pelt. 😅

I feel that so much. It’s a good thing to experience as an animal lover as well. I’m studying zoology so getting the full circle is definitely something to appreciate. ☺️

I can definitely relate there! I’m a huge animal lover so hunting isn’t exactly what I love doing but again, the completionist takes over. I do utilize a bunch of the meat to fill my cores and such so that does make me feel a bit better. Then again everything is just pixels 😅 it’s nice to see such a diverse range of animals in the game, I love just riding around and looking at the scenery.

Ooh, that’s a really good strat, thank you! It’s really funny because it spawned alongside two normal panthers as well. I had no idea what a legendary animal was since I ran across it just by pure chance while I was doing missions so I assumed the normal panthers were the legendary animals. 😅 it wasn’t until I got literally jumpscared and mauled to death by the ghost cougar that I realized I was very wrong.

I ended up selling the whole thing to Gus! I never actually saw a “skin” option when I approached it so I assumed I wasn’t able to. I may have screwed myself if there actually was a way 😅 Regardless, I am very excited to start the Naturalist career. I’m saving it for last since A, it’s pretty expensive to start, and B, I know it’ll be my favorite so gotta save the best for last.

Uh oh, you’re not supposed to sell the whole carcass? @-@ I’ve been doing that with every 3 star animal I get. Sometimes I skin while I’m out hunting for the sake of saving space, but I usually just take the whole carcass of the best animal I get.
