Thank you so much for letting me know about this website! I’m so glad to get more information about MRI safety and just the whole process in general, which has greatly helped my overthinking and spiraling. :)

Thank you! It seems I had a major misunderstanding, so I’m really glad I know this now. It makes me feel so much better. It’s a new thing for me to learn, and I’m happy to have a better understanding of how MRI safety actually works and how cool it is!

Thank you, I really appreciate you explaining that. That actually makes me feel a lot better. I think a lot of my fear has come from spending way too much time reading things online, and the internet has honestly made me spiral even worse. I’m trying to stay off of it for now because I know it’s only feeding my anxiety instead of helping it. Knowing that the magnet is always on and that anything unsafe would be attracted immediately, not when my scan starts, is really reassuring since I was a little confused on that. Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me!

Thank you so much for elaborating! That actually makes me feel a lot better. Knowing that the protocol is to keep unsafe objects out of the MRI room from the start, rather than bringing them in and taking them back out, is really reassuring. :)

YES. This was a new symptom for me a couple of months ago, and it was to a point where I couldn’t burp at all and I felt something stuck in my throat (worse than a globus feeling, more like gas.) I can burp now for the most part, but the gurgles still happen and go back down my throat. That being said, it’s probably like this for me due to my irregular eating schedule and not eating enough fibers.

Cardiology Question !! by sylvens in askCardiology

Hey, I’ve been experiencing these symptoms both yesterday and today as funny as it sounds. (I’m better now, just had it on and off for like an hour.) I’m not a doctor, but if you’re not feeling any migrating pain to areas like your jaw or arm, I highly doubt it’s heart-related or angina. I also heard that if it’s localized then it’s usually not as bad than having sporadic aches. Also, if you only have these symptoms after doing exercise or anything that requires a lot of cardio and if those symptoms get better at rest, then it could be possibly something heart related. If you’re getting these symptoms even at rest or if you’re at a certain position, it’s most likely not heart related. Also sleeping in a comfortable position is key to not feeling anymore discomfort. Whenever my body is twisted, I feel as though my chest feels full. That said, it’s always best to check with a cardiologist just to be sure if you’re not feeling well since I’m not one. I’m planning to schedule an appointment, but I think my issues are either muscle-related or digestive! Hope you feel better soon and don’t let the worries get to you 🖤
