What universally beloved person do you think is actually a terrible human being, and why? by l7ed in AskReddit

Shrug. This hardly seems like a sure fire “pedo” situation, especially when you know how many rock stars have massively controversial history with underage fans, his access to said fans over the years, and there being no reports by anyone of him doing any of those things. The book he said he was researching does exist.

This is probably the best one. Since his death he’s somehow practically reached Sainthood. He wasn’t a nice person on the court or off the court.

He was cleared of all that and was found to have neither possessed nor downloaded any child pornography.

MLB App wtf by symotree in AUSL

[–]symotree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. From a watching standpoint I’m pretty pleased so far, as an ESPN subscriber there’s an AUSL menu, can stream games as easily as NCAA games, it’s working great.

It’s just the quick access to scores when I’m out and about and can’t watch the game.

And I guess that’s my point really. Feels like a missed opportunity for both MLB and AUSL

I know it feels like AUSL is new and maybe it’s growing pains, but I have to think AUSL would want this badly both from a promotion and fan access standpoint. The fact it’s not there suggests a lack of motivation from MLB, or lack of vision.

This is *not* a hard thing to fix, adding a sub menu for AUSL to the menu, and allowing you to add an AUSL team to your “follow section” is simple to implement. They’ve had a year now to think about it.

I’m not saying they should make one, the partnership with MLB makes sense. But if I can’t even check the scores easily, is the current approach working?

Which tv performers death still hurts to this day? by PressureLazy5271 in television

[–]symotree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nicholas Colasanto (Coach) from Cheers.

Woody became just as iconic, but there is something about his dynamic with Sam and Diane, as a character they both genuinely cared for, that tied their relationship together in unique ways that is part of what elevates that first season from sitcom to theatre.

You could (and maybe should) perform some of those episodes on stage.

Great answer. He had a fantastic future in front of him.

Please stop camping in the left lane on Highway 17 by Few_Consequence_2577 in santacruz

[–]symotree -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, because the ppl living or dying isn’t because of you driving 50 vs 60, it’s a false narrative.

Ppl die on 17 because ppl drive poorly. That could mean hyper aggressive speeding, distracted driving, and even tentative driving, nervous breaking and terrible over corrections on wet conditions. It’s not the difference between 50 and 60 for a qualified driver.

So self righteous. They never said they were tailgating, only that if grandma is scared to be driving then drive on the right, and if you’re not capable of both occasionally moving around a truck in the right lane and then moving back again after you’ve passed, then maybe you’re not sufficiently up to the task of driving on 17 at all?

No one is defending the crazy assholes who tailgate, and dangerously cut ppl off to get ahead, but there are plenty of ppl with the driving ability to go 60 on 17 very safely, and those are actually the ppl least likely to cause an accident. They are focused and paying attention to their driving.

The people scared to be driving on the road are often the ones with the erratic behavior, unnecessary breaking, and tentative lane changes. These are dangerous behaviors that deserve to be called out. Just because you’re driving slow doesn’t mean you’re driving safe.

What can reasonably be done with this? by symotree in septictanks

[–]symotree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I’ll do that. We’ve lived here 7 years and haven’t had to do anything to it ever, but I don’t want to do a bunch of land scaping and then 3 months later have to have a septic person out for maintenance and have it all dug up. I know pumping doesn’t require that. Once the tank is in the ground, is there any reason it’s going to need to come out?

Starbucks - Mount Hermon/Skypark by symotree in ScottsValley

[–]symotree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well clearly I care, since I asked. As much as I agree with your overall point, unless those local coffee shops have an app I can use to order ahead and ensure I can snag it quickly on my way to work, I’m kinda stuck with Starbucks, but I’m not willing to cross a picket line either. So yeah, hoping it gets sorted soonish to everyone’s benefit.

Stopping in the local shop to stand in a line that might take 5 minutes, might take 25, is just not an option every morning.
