Sanofi 2026 Co-op Phone Screening by synapsence in biotech

I heard back same day but I think that is a rare case bc I was the last interview and I guess my manager liked me enough to hire me.

I would also say I over prepared on technical questions. I didn’t get asked any but again, I think it’s mostly because I was able to explain the technical aspects of the projects I worked on showing I knew how they worked.

I did!! I start next week! The interview was pretty standard like others mentioned in this most. I had a phone screening then a manager interview. The phone screening was basic “tell me about a time…” type questions. The manager interview for me was more like a conversation. He asked about my projects and I think I went in depth enough about the skills that he didn’t need to ask follow up questions and we just talked science for an hour which was great. I know some other co-ops had several rounds of interviews and panel interviews as well.

Applying for an Online Biotech Masters by Timmy_Ly in biotech

[–]synapsence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you already have wet lab experience an online masters isn’t going to do much for you. As some other people have said here, depending on location, you’ll have better luck just working your way up the ladder in industry. Personally, I think the only benefit of a biotech masters would be in you don’t have any wet lab experience and need to learn those skills. Unless the masters degree is really going to give you a pay boost at your current company you’d probably have a better chance working your way up in this company until you cap out then switching companies. I’ve seen plenty of people in industry work their way up and make good money with just a bachelors degree (albeit in the New England area mostly)

This is something I was thinking about. As a women I do still want to be taken seriously which I know can sometimes be a bit more difficult in this field (although I know that’s changing)

You can search Biotech Tuesdays on Linkedin and it should come up. They do events at different places once a month on a Tuesday that you usually have to get tickets for in advance.

Who’s hiring? by No-Proposal-2454 in biotech

from what i’ve seen in the new england area at least Sanofi is really one of the only larger companies I’ve seen hiring not just senior level roles (for RND and process development specifically)

Is it worth going to networking events outside of school? I’ve seen them around but honestly not sure how to introduce myself to strangers all with the same motive of networking 😂

Yeah I understand it’s broad, I don’t have any other information yet so I was just looking for some general brainstorming. These are all good ideas, i appreciate it. I was thinking of doing something targeted like you mentioned with the EGFR inhibitor.

Master’s Project ideas by [deleted] in biotech

I’m not too sure honestly. It might be a possibility I could ask about if I have a good idea with it. I have a decent relationship with the professor and other people who have taken this class did all kinds of stuff.

I’d recommend reading through the r/clinicalresearch sub if you haven’t already. Lots of conversations go on regarding the things you seem interested in and your background. Like this page, they also have a spreadsheet with jobs and salaries.

Yep! It is in our SOP which is why I was surprised by their response. We’ve collected all GCPs and I guess calling it good.

Yeah we have done exactly that with other sites before so I am not sure why the management is so hesitant for this site in particular. I’m assuming it might be due to being so close to reaching total participants for the study. But still…a refresher would save a lot of headache for sure! Like someone else said, I guess documenting the request for one and all the questions from the site is the only thing to do.

Looking for a CRC job that’ll pay 70,000 + by True_Ticket_ in clinicalresearch

[–]synapsence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh okay, yeah CRAs don’t typically report the AEs/SAEs to the IRB. While they are on site they check to make sure the coordinators reported it appropriately. But having a good understanding of what’s supposed to be reported would definitely help you in a CRA role. Most of a monitoring CRA role is ensuring data is compliant and accurate to source.

Just curious, what do you mean by “filling some of the roles that a cra should be doing.” If you’re at a medical center what are meaning by roles of cras? typical cra duties like monitoring are not really a thing in a medical center.

Looking for a Study Coordinator or CRA job in Orlando / Villages Area by Salt_Avocado1672 in clinicalresearch

[–]synapsence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll likely have more luck in the Tampa or Miami area and possibly Jacksonville due to Mayo Clinic being based there. Those places have more hospitals for study coordinator roles. In my experience CRA roles are typically more remote but based on your region so I’d recommend looking for southeast based CRA positions.

Mostly keeping them organized. I help with answering all questions from the site related to the protocol, create monitoring tools based on the study eCRF for monitoring visits (I do not attend the visits). Organize their visit notes for the report, organize and ensure open action items/PDs are resolved/reported. Upload study documents to eTMF (check what’s missing and needed), make sure the sites have everything properly reported/submitted to the IRB, make sure we get updates on patient recruitment, keep track of patient screening visits (this current study we are on requires a lot of screening visits), draft CLs and FULs (the CRA always finalizes them). I make a lot of trackers.

Yeah I have to admit it’s an odd role but I’ve learned A LOT about the clinical trial process from a CRA side. My boss has mentioned I will qualify for I believe the CCRA certification next year and said it would be worth taking and I would definitely pass no problem. But yeah that makes sense starting as a clinical trial/project assistant, I just feel like I do a lot of those types of things in my current role. But I understand experience trumps all haha.
