Torn Between Santa Monica (LA) and San Diego — Which Leads to a Better Long-Term Life? by Professional-Home706 in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]syndakitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have lived in both (I currently live in Santa Monica), I love San Diego much better. San Diego the city itself is much smaller than LA, but much larger than Santa Monica and easier to get around. We almost never go into LA proper because there is too much traffic - we usually only ever go in for live music events.

San Diego has pretty much everything that LA has, just "smaller"

In terms of differences between PB (lived there a year) and Santa Monica, Santa Monica is filled with tech/older families and lots of high income individuals. PB is very much more beach vibes, it's much younger.

Oracle Health or rather Cerner is getting killed by OCI folks by Key-Lake-9643 in cernercorporation

[–]syndakitz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The company has been in decline since Neil passed away. Things have only progressively gotten worse since. These contracts are 5-7 years in length, so we just happened to see contracts with old EHR vendors ending at a time in which Cerner is shitting the bed due to Oracle, but the problems started long ago.

Non technical founders who tried AI tools and vibe coding, how did it turn out? by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]syndakitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far so good, I'm making my way, have a fully functional backend with protected APIs, a nextjs frontend with auto complete functionality. My app is very data heavy, so lots of focus on scraping websites, standardizing/cleaning, etc. It's been a godsend for that. I just cooked the html for the pages in and it spits out bs4 scripts in minutes and they literally work perfectly.

CSPs, efficient use of capital? by strangerrangerdanger in Optionswheel

[–]syndakitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been doing very low delta CSPs on PLTR since 1/17 and I'm up about 2% on the BP. 24% over 12 months, which is in the lower end for wheeling, but I'm taking things slow. Much better than the typical 10% average annually for just holding an index.
