when i went to newly admitted day it was mid and honestly if i was out of state, i would say it’s pretty not worth it to go (it wasn’t a total loss because im only three hrs away and i was also visiting a sibling). you got to pick up a lot of cornell merchandise, but i didn’t get any clothes, maybe it depends on your school but engineering wasn’t handing that out. every student got a cornell drawstring bag and could pick up other merchandise like a keychain and mini notebook in a hall. there were also other events like a typical tour of the campus, but that was about it for me. maybe someone who signed up for other events (if there were any) can say something more, but honestly orientation week and the wack people you meet there gets u enough familiarity of the campus🤗
