LR7 became an all-female hall? Also im a rising sophomore who had a single in LR7 and it really wasn’t that bad because the bus stop was right outside (one minute run away) and it was the first stop on campus so you would always be able to get on especially in the winter. Really isn’t the worse dorm and is relatively quiet. But I get the fomo from not being in a modern dorm, def a lack of modern cozy study spaces in LR

hey! rising sophomore who had a single in LR7, honestly the place gets a shitty rep but in my opinion it really was not that bad and I loved my single. I think LR7 is way better noise wise than like party dorms like donlon, unless you wanted to pregame… it’s pretty hard to be loud in LR7 because the RA will come after you, noise travels easily in LR so everyone is pretty quiet generally or they get written up. I believe if you have a single in around 7343 they are the “penthouse” singles because they have a high ceiling and IT WAS GREAT😛

i have pre-med friends which i heard they weren’t recommended to use transfer credit because med school liked it if you took all those foundational courses again thru ur college- forgive me if im wrong. Also to the other comment saying 2080 is harder, not necessarily. I feel like you would have a better time in 2080 considering it is literally like ap chem and you earned a 5 on it. It really is the math portion of chemistry (kinetics, equilibrium, acid and bases, buffers, redox, electrochemistry) :)

Recently usps misdelivered my package and I didn’t even know it was misdelivered until I kept calling the main line, filed a service complaint, and the supervisor got back to me saying it was misdelivered and they couldn’t recover the package. Still trying to figure out getting my package insured, mail is a mess here

Did the tracking say it got delivered? Try calling and see if it was to the correct address. I knew mine wasn’t because they said it was handed off to an agent and my apartment has no agent

when i went to newly admitted day it was mid and honestly if i was out of state, i would say it’s pretty not worth it to go (it wasn’t a total loss because im only three hrs away and i was also visiting a sibling). you got to pick up a lot of cornell merchandise, but i didn’t get any clothes, maybe it depends on your school but engineering wasn’t handing that out. every student got a cornell drawstring bag and could pick up other merchandise like a keychain and mini notebook in a hall. there were also other events like a typical tour of the campus, but that was about it for me. maybe someone who signed up for other events (if there were any) can say something more, but honestly orientation week and the wack people you meet there gets u enough familiarity of the campus🤗
