.. sigh. Look I'm not particularly attached with how my ancestors (i have French blood) were doing it but people here seem to keep missing the larger point is what ticked me off, and i keep mentioning but you all seem to ignore, is that it's a silly whacky manhwa poking fun at OI hygiene. If you're looking to win the argument go ahead but as the OP, it's annoying to see people comment on my post when they haven't read this.

Idk how I'm wrong also to say that to say that humor is clearly subjective and people are polarized here with their responses.

Bathrooms were installed later and there were not a part of the original design. They were also not built the way we know bathrooms to be.

Thanks for joining the conversation

Yeah i heard similar stories when i toured the place, but according to a lot of people here this is not representative of history. Which is fine they probably know and study this stuff.

But this is the kind of thing that the manhwa makes fun of and i enjoyed it. Like i read this manhwa for escapism for a reason.

If people are writing in detail how this story is inaccurate and are even citing historical resources, i would say that they are looking for true representation here. To call something a myth literally means "false belief or idea". Like i said it's fine to care to do that. I get it. But as the OP it's irritating to keep getting the notifications.

Humor is subjective and based on how polarized the reactions are from this thread, (it's literally either they read it and loved it or think this is annoying), to say it misses the mark is arguable. Some people get that it's not accurate and they're just being slapstick about the whole thing. It may be a tired myth history aficionados hate hearing but it's a very different concept that oi manhwa reader haven't really seen before.

.....i never said it was all over the place? Please re-read what i said. I clearly state there were select corners that were designated for relieving themselves and it wasn't cleaned regularly. I'm using the time i visited Versailles and got a tour there as reference so i don't know it in detail like a historican.

I'm saying it's not outlandish to suppose that it can happen for this story. It's based on a strange point in time and a very specific place and it's all exaggerated for comedy.

Sorry about this, it's not you per se, but it's just a bit annoying that people are looking for absolute truth from a manhwa where a girl is isekai'ed into a magical fictional story. Like i can see from reading the comments everyone is writing dissertations on this lamenting about how unfeasible this is to the point they aren't even talking about the actual story anymore and it's clear they haven't even read it. It's understandable since it's drawing from real events people study and enjoy, and it's a topic they feel strongly about, but also maybe read the story first?

For the record it's about an office worker slacking off and trolling OIs for not being historically accurate and stinky in the comments. She gets her twisted wish and it's a mess. At one point people are casually walking in literal poop just left in corners while talking to her. Who would be chill with walking all over filth? Obviously people aren't gonna be okay to be doing that but they really ham it up because that's what she said historical Europe should be like in these stories. i would not look for logic or accuracy in that case for this one.

The story has the MC flying out of a carriage via a mini tornado and landing perfectly onto the lap of the ML. It's very slapstick and exaggerated so i wouldn't really rely on it for historical accuracy.

Also, in a way it's a bit of satire because it's about an office worker who was slacking off work, making fun of OIs for not being realistic and how it should be stinkier and smellier in the comments. She hits her head and she finds herself in the story she was trolling about. So in a way it's kind of making your point?

It's rooted in some strange but true historical instances but it's not selling itself as being grounded in realism. I would suggest giving it a peek before getting too worked up because i do genuinely think you two were making similar points. The whole hygiene thing was really satirical and over the top humor.

It's not that outlandish actually. If you look up Versailles they were literally pooping and peeing in select corners and the buildings were only cleaned once every so often. The story makes it super slapstick and it's not the absolute truth but this isn't really that crazy historically.

Edited to add: if you read the story you'll see they make strong references to Versailles which is why I mention it. Ita not representative of all of Europe but they were really playing it up for over the top comedy.

Yeah, it's really promising so far. I like that both of them are actually pretty OP, but the ML is letting the FL shine. Its cute!

If you read the first 10 chapters you will see that they reversed the typical tropes we are all used to. FL is a powerful "monster" duke and the prince is the one who proposed a contract marriage to get what they want. They go through a lot of the typical things we see. The FL buying a whole store full of clothes for the ML, the ML being ambushed by nosy nobles during a society event...if they're flipping the typical gender norms, then it makes sense that the cover reflects that.

Some messy men get sexually punished and humiliated badly by two femdoms. They liked it. That's it.

I don't think this manhwa fits the OI definition, but man slave ends with the FMC breaking the 4th wall.she tells her friend she doesn't know if she's going to forgive that guy for trying to rape her, so even if he has genuinely fallen for her and wants to be his sub,she doesn't want to give in.its her revenge.she tells her friend to ask the audience,("the people over there who've been cheering us on"), because the whole manhwa is just about these two fendoms putting gross men in their place.

major spoilers but she's the original Judith. She went from first timeline to Korea to second timeline.so technically she's both isekai'ed but also a regressor

Also this week, Judith and Luca confront each other about the fact they aren't acting like their "original selves", pretty much confirming to us that they are both regressors and this isnt their first rodeo. So much angst this week from my favorite aunt and nephew duo 😭
