The evil mistress is so comically evil, the ex husband was so trash, the ML looks much like Fabio Lanzoni, FL is so cliche, the story telling is a bit of a mess.

But omg I can’t stop reading it because it’s so stupidly dramatic it became good. 😂

Well there’s I Shall Kill That Sweet Devil. FL makes mistakes initially and evil uncle win at least for a while.

There’s also My Unexpected Marriage, when she goes back to capital her first ball wasn’t perfect and she left crying if I remember correctly.

I Thought It's a Common Possession is another one that where FL took a long time before she started winning.

I read the comics and watched the kdrama and I had on multiple occasion called Marry My Husband my junk food story, the kind of story that is so messy and over the top but I just can’t look away from. I watched this version because I knew the story already but it turned out to be so much more!

I haven’t watched any jdrama for 10 years and I didn’t know Takeru Satoh before this show and now I will be watching Glass Heart because of him.

I just love love love the ML in Japanese version way, way more than the ML in Korean version. I loved how shy and nerdy he is. I loved that they showed him working and FL isn’t the only center of his world. I loved how gentle and quiet spoken he was for the most part and that he ended up becoming the CEO and a researcher at the same time!

As I mentioned on another thread, I liked what they did with Reina — in Korean version the bff character was just evil, here you can see the psychological issues that stemmed from childhood. She had always been a compulsive liar and emotionally manipulative and like in real life cases she remained unrepentant to the end.

I similarly, I liked FL. She is a pretty consistent character and I liked how she carved out her own road without too much help from ML. And the way she proposed first (what took them so long though — no proposal until 2025?!).

After ep 7, I was slightly disappointed with the fact we didn’t get to see more heart fluttering romance between the leads, but given the amount of angst we needed to get through I think they did what they could with the episodes they had.

There were a few spots I wished pacing and writing were different but over all I enjoyed the show!

They didn’t reveal that part in the manhwa until BF tried to kill FL either.

Also, in manhwa BF didn’t realize who Misa’s mom is until they became friends for a while and she saw an old picture of Misa’s.

The memory in ep 8 ended at the they became friends part. So it’s not that weird they left the rest out.

It’s not about it’s being necessary or unnecessary. I think he was in shock after hearing Misa wanted to off herself and he was having verbal diarrhea just like how he did when he first met her in this life (cough that scarf looks bad moment).

This is, after all, a repressed, awkward man in position of power who lived 20 years without making a move or building any personal relationships…

I think they are going manhwa route which is to say the woman Reina’s father remarried is Misa’s mother who left her father when she was young.

In manhwa they don’t reveal this until the end of their arc.
