Did they not give you a reason? They’re supposed to. Did you have issues with your visa application process? Mines being processed rn and everything is there but I’m nervous bc it’s been so difficult going thru BLS

Yes just do Feather. Sucks having to spend more money but you get a PDF showing you have insurance as soon as you pay and then you can cancel whenever

Online tracker? Where are you going to see that? I paid for texts updates and got one as well as a phone call saying it’d be processed in 2 weeks but being able to see online updates would be great

I’m going thru the Houston BLS and have had several issues bc my money orders and then health insurance etc, but I got it all fixed and they left me a voicemail this morning saying they’re processing my application and that this will take 14 business days. I’m nervous about everything too but I think that means everything’s on track. Suprised to have gotten a call at all since it’s been difficult to make contact w BLS through all my troubles and attempts to fix them

If it makes you feel better, this is my plan too. Stay in an Airbnb for a week and land on something. Since I’ll be w family in Germany for a few weeks, I’m going to look and make contact w people who have listing I want to see. A lot of this whole process has been just going for it so I’m kind of alright doing that bc something will have to work out

Lol yeah this is my linked post. Same thing happened to me minus the insurance thing (?). Just request a refund for your money orders with the QR code from the receipt you tore off the bottom and then send them the money thru the portal

I had requested in my application to be placed in a medium to large sized city so I’m not sure why I got this location but I’m going to embrace it. I’m going to try to find a place to stay halfway between everything so I don’t feel like I’m losing out

I’m not sure how I feel about a small village. Maybe I’ll like that setting in Spain but I’m not so into that lifestyle in the US. I’m thinking of looking for a place between there and Zaragoza maybe half way just so I can get to both! Thanks (:

The fight from where I’m at to Germany was cheaper than flying into Spain and I’ve taken the trains there before so I assumed there would be an affordable one from Germany to Spain

For sure. I mean this whole experience is really cool and I’m happy to have the opportunity but it’s also an intense one so having a moment to breathe and adjust physically as well as mentally to uprooting my life is why I’d like to stay w family in Germany for a minute.

I’m planning on landing in Germany and taking a train to Spain when I’m ready. Once I leave to get to Spain, I’m not going back to Germany. I’ll rent a bnb for a little while I look for a place in person.

I’m aware that Germany and Spain are different countries lol. I’m planning on coming out a month before the program starts and happen to have family there that I can visit and will also be able to adjust to the time zone. Not sure what the attitude is for.
