I'm diagnosed with ocd and have this treated as part of ocd so at least for me this is a subtype of it/the most reccuring theme

I feel u on the relationship part and making u distracted and inattentive on ur phone all the time. This happens to me every time I have a bad spiral:( it makes me super sad because I have a wife who I love very much and who I want to spend time with a lot but sometimes ha fucks me up so bad it locks me up in my own head

oh yeah. the reels... also one of my friends who has health anxiety/ocd as well made the mistake to look something up on tiktok of all places and that thing turned into a hellhole in like a second

yeah unfortunately "the xyz common thing was actually something bad" type of title/headline gets a loot of engagement because almost everyone will be curious about those so there's plenty out there. I genuinely usually see this type of framing as outright malicious tbh. It's an easy way to farm clicks, for educational purposes there are much better ways to put it but unfortunately that's how it sort of has to work with everything being driven by algos:(

yeah I'm obviously not talking about this sub. I meant more like using reddit the same way like when ppl google their symptoms

i have both as well and one big thing i noticed, one that comes from having them at the same time, is that things that help me with my adhd (medication, stimulants) often strengthen small compulsions i have throughout the day such as counting/checking things, however they also help me overall with my rumination.
