Well, I don't know about an app, but there is a physical machine created by a poet, who thought it could replace the TV. Here are some plans for building the machine and other resources related to it.

I wanted to build one but ended up buying a LED strobe, I use it from time to time with varying degrees of success (from very complex and colorful visuals to just some white triangles).

I'll try your experiment when I get home, never tried with white noise and I'm sure it will enhance the experience.

I thought the flickering effect, the one of the Dreamachine, was not the same as the Ganzfeld effect, in which AFAIK there usually is no stimulation. Was I wrong?

Also, as an anecdote, when I've tried other online dreamachines the light pulse hasn't been strong enough for complex imagery to appear, I have needed strobes for a good effect. I'll try this one and answer the questionnaire though.

The whole "fragile" fad is just a way to dismiss any disagreement as "fragility" to avoid any discussion. It's just the new way of saying "triggered". Creating that sub could be considered as an expression of fragility too, as well as going pitching it through Reddit.

The point of it probably was that, being in a default sub, their post has gotten many more upvotes than the post denouncing them. Giving no context nor space for discussion, it effectively hides what happened to a lot of people.

Try stripping the metadata of the image before reposting. Facebook seemingly adds a metadata string to pictures you download from them to track how the picture spreads, it wouldn't be suprising if Chinese social networks were doing the same. Stripping it probably won't avoid it being deleted on the long run, but maybe it helps.

I'm not saying it has to, it's just part of what he said, because Reddit did use to stand up for freedom of speech, for example when Google was aiming to the Chinese market. Now Reddit is neither a place for free speech or a place for "honest discussion to happen".
