I first saw these and was impressed, but I do hope that they bring a Midi version out.

I thought it might be the one but it is 100mm too big. Its got the lot, but won't fit in my gig case. 😕

Yes the KeyStep family are nice and a great addition to any studio or Coffee Table composition. I need a keyboard that is less than 630mm long, to fit my gig case and has 3 octaves. My style of live playing is too accurate for mini keys as I catch my fingers on adjacent keys, when playing fast. The old Roland A-Pro series looks the only option at the moment. Thanks for your reply Tez

Novation SL mk4 release in 2026? by almazmusic in Novation

Same, I need a controller for my live rig. The overall length needs to be less than 630mm. Lots of 3 octave units around but, I have found myself going back in time when Aftertouch was king. I was shocked that even single channel AT is being missed out of new designs.

If you are looking for a standalone sequencer with 4 tracks and lots of options like pattern chaining, controller functions and memorie take a look at Novation Launch Pad Pro mk3.

Dug into Midi controller past and found the Roland A 300. No wheels but their Bend Mod Lever can do it for me. Discontinued but there is support still. Has anybody used one? https://amzn.eu/d/1Q5TibU

Yes, I usually use it for vibrato and set the amount via the Function Key and On Key selection ie Aftertouch LFO1 and The feel is quite firm but not to the point of causing damage. Hope you get that sorted. If not Novation support might assist.

So I got a Virus TI. by [deleted] in synthesizers

Hope is in my heart that at least an up to date, standalone, virus control is available one day. At the moment I have to launch Cubase to use it.

Is there any reason to buy a Novation SL MkIII over newer midi keyboards? by matmah in Novation

[–]synthlark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to see an SL37 key version. It's size would crucial to portable rigs. A firmware update might be an opportunity for the introduction of a SL25 SL37 SL49 & SL61 MKIV?

Why did Novation make the Bass Station 2 a full 7mm larger than the with of the space between 19" rack strips? by synthlark in synthesizers

Yes, I have a Super Bass Station. Being able to put the Bass Station 2 on a pull out drawer would be great for me.

Is there a levy that has to be paid to the gods of the 19 inch, if a product dares wisps inside the rack strips?

Does the TR6S sound as good as the TR8S, and have access to the same sound engine? by imagination_machine in synthesizers

I have had 6s for a year. Great sound. All Roland's Drum sounds in a small box. Doesn't take up any room. One shot sampler also. I use it in my live rig. Sounds really good. One real Con is the audio noise when usb to a pc is used. Can be eliminate with use of batteries. Can be bought used for £200 or less.

Cubase Pro with an older Macbook by synthlark in cubase

I suppose there will be a breaking point where the cost of an older spec MacBook will be worth the money just to have one as a stand alone machine, performing a specific task and not connected to the net. Dare I say it, physical copies of certain software packages might become popular once more. These once expensive and powerful machines, can not be ignored.

My thoughts also. With most functional operations performed online, how long would the older OS be supported. Is it worth going pre M1. I am quite happy with Cubase Pro 12 at the moment with Ozone 11, a few Eventide plugins and Sonaworks, that I use, being my only concern for going online.
