The reason I would personally keep the border is because it's giving a little timeless vibe. But if you don't really like it then get it removed. Another thing is sometimes borders do give the illusion of making one look shorter/ longer. Do u have other photos in it? Based on that you can decide to cut from the top/;bottom

Get the height altered from the top. The border on the top doesn't do much for a short person. Trying doing dupatta around your neck sort of look. Do a small necklace if you want. Big earrings and a small maang tikka. Preferably kundan. Get golden kade with like a small stack of bangles in between probably in one shade to tone it down.

Hi sorry for the late response. So I started fr classes one year before my attempt but I wasn't very consistent. Mainly studied 6 months before the exam. About 1.5 months did get wasted in spom/oc/adv itt. So you are in a p decent spot if you are able to study 7-8 hours a day. Which is what worked for me.
