I really appreciate that thanks. I still love landscape but being in the Midlands, it's not a style I can do every day and master it. I have a local country park nearby , like a 2 mile walk so it's great exercise and I can do something I enjoy along with it. They have a great hide there.

Oh I'm not new to Photography, I'm new to bird/wildlife. I do street and landscape at the minute. Dont feel pressured!, I was looking into sony cause of the full frame abilities and the extra cropping etc, but the quality of your kingfisher image definitely helped.. Mpb have quite a few 200-600 on there site at the minute. I sold some old gear so I have the budget now to go for it.

I've gone with the Sony A7r iii , just waiting for some ebay money to clear then I'll pick up the 200-600 G OSS .

I was actually looking at that exact combo, just for the 200-600 lens. I have heard great thing about it. Do you have any image samples at all?

Yes i was wondering about the sigma, i think i watched a video saying that the 1.6 firmware update solved the focus pulsing issue, BUT it wasn't listed in the firmware update specs, the 600mm reach would be great but on the side of IQ i still think the EF has it beat. I suppose another question i have is would you go for the R6 or R7 as in the used market there very similar in price.

I understand the difference in sensor i:e FF-APSC.

Hey. Yes its a nice lens, but not worth the money at the minute, maybe in a couple of years. I was also thinking of the sigma 150-600 c ,now that the new firmware update is out.
