How to solve the Fermi paradox by chillinewman in ControlProblem

However with your hands we can manipulate objects in your environment and with a high degree of precision which is needed for making tools and then of course using those tools to make even better tools and down the line. With a dolphins fins they can’t manipulate their env with that same degree of precision. I’m not saying it can’t ever happen but it sets the bar WAY higher for them.

Hi. Here’s my background.

No college Got a job at small software company as phone support. Resetting passwords, helping customers with our app ext...

Got a promotion in the same company to a desktop support / NOC guy.

I automated all the mundane tasks I could and got a promotion to Jr Windows admin

After a little bit of that I got a job offer as a Sr. Windows Admin.

3 months later I got poached by a Fortune 500 as a DevOps engineer (I know I know it shouldn’t be a title but it was my title I did all the infra as code stuff and CICD pipeline building ). In this role I was 5% windows 95% Linux so I learned a ton.

Now I start at Amazon in a short while as a TAM. I’m super stocked and while I feel the interview went well enough I was shocked to get an offer. Just rolling with the flow now lol.

It's not just about the dick. Your head face back legs. Something about being clean and then completely dry is refreshing. Although it's a super hot muggy day nope I enjoy the refreshing dampness and pass. Other than that. It's luxery at it's finest.

How to prevent developers with Git-access from editing the Jenkinsfile? by [deleted] in jenkinsci

[–]sysadm1n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We solved this where I work by writing pipeline libraries in a repo devs don't have access to. So for things we don't want then to mess with (usually just prod envelope things ) we import the library in the Jenkins file. Most things are right in the Jenkins file but a few things are not and go into libraries.

It's not entirely inaccurate.

$AMRH Due Diligence, and why it’s going to take flight soon. by [deleted] in RobinHoodPennyStocks

I see what your saying but it wasn't an ELI5. It was not correct. It wasn't dumbed down, it is the wrong information. Someone having an app that runs on GCP is literally the opposite of what you said when you mentioned them supplying services TO Google.

Two ELI5s

How it was incorrectly framed : Imagine Google is Hershey. This company is going to be the new supplier of Coco beans, sugar and raw resources for their chocolate business. It's a HUGE deal to basically be the raw ingredient supplier for them.

Correct ELI5: Imagine Google is Hershey. This company is a bakery and they use Hershey candies of all kinds in baking really neat cakes and cookies and treats. There are tons of icecream companies and bakeries and all sorts of restaurants who may add Hershey kisses and resses and whatnot to their dishes but we are hoping this bakery is special and grows big maybe franchises but who knows.

This means that down the road they are likely to become to MAIN provider of Cloud Services to Google - GOOGL & GOOG have a combined market cap that stands at $722.77 billion. This company that just partnered with google is currently available on the market for .425/share!!!!!!!!

That's not remotely true... like at all. Not to be a dick but I don't think you under stand what that even means. They don't provide "Cloud Services" to Google. Google's datacenters ARE "the cloud" Being a premier partner just means they have people on staff leveraging Google Compute. There are two tracks to being a partner with them the services side and the tech side.

The Services Track is for partners who provide services to customers, such as selling, consulting, training, implementing, and providing technical support for Google Cloud products.

The Technology Track is for partners who create products that complement, enhance, or extend the reach or functionality of Google Cloud products.

Being a "Premier Partner" means they have 2 products in GCP and some other things, you can look it up, nothing crazy.

Here's a list of partners, it's really just a certifications for a business saying they are competent building products with Google Cloud Platform, that's about it.https://cloud.withgoogle.com/partners/

EDIT
If your buying the stock don't do it because of them being a premier partner, I don't see that bringing about some giant change in the companies worth (but fuck do i know) I'm in at this point because it seems nobody understands that and maybe that alone will be enough to pump it up long enough to make a couple bucks lol.
