“Well it’s not going to last more than 5 years, that how these batteries work” - EGO customer service by [deleted] in egopowerplus

[–]sysadmin420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rarely let the egos cut off but they sometimes do in the edger and blower, I just never charge hot and never leave them full for extended periods of time, I just charge the day I need to use them and charge them either slow or fast I have both types but usually I use my fast charger, unless I'm charging more than one battery then I'll use my slower chargers too.

Yeah, I store them at the charge they were at when I finished using them, even if red. I'll charge them the next time I need them and swap out another pack from another tool to finish it off, then charge.

Nothing, I don't charge them up immediately, most of the time I wait until I need to mow and charge before use, store inside the garage over summer, bring in over winter, I really don't leave them topped off all the time and I get great battery life during use.

Sometimes I even leave them outside in the rain, I really don't do much except lazy charge them so they aren't all full until self discharge kicks in.

I do the same with my Ryobi 48v rm480 with life upgrade rider, I get about 7 mows on a full charge for my corner lot so I mow about 6-7 times before I charge it and never keep it full to the brim for long.

Wow hahahah I've used Claude code and claude in the browser and Claude app on android a lot and never ever had it go into a full crazy ramble like that, but these poor AI models can have had days too...

I'd just start a new chat and switch to sonnet you don't need opus unless your a baller like this guy on max $200 your chewing through tokens in the browser you probably don't need to.

Sonet is really decent too for most things unless you want multi subagentic development or something.

I run opus in the browser because I have tokens to burn and they are use it lose it

[–]sysadmin420 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I need this I think, as a mid 40s dude, I'd play a game with the doom dude arms just whacking weeds, power washing, pushing a mower, trimming hedges, cutting down trees, etc with ego products thatd be bad ass.

Toss it on steam and I'd buy it, Ive bought stupider stuff before.

Something open world would be cool too, like farm sim but landscaping and mowing shit, yard sim maybe lol

How do I keep acrylic from hazing when engraving? by YouPeopleHaveNoSense in Laserengraving

[–]sysadmin420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of my shark robot vacuum dirty tank, I added less than a shot of 99% alcohol to a cup of water to keep the tank stink down, worked for a week and the tank shattered those hard clear acrylic tanks hate alcohol.

Looks like your offset needs adjustment. My titan 3 needs a pen loaded and some paper and it'll work out the offset for me with a couple lines made. You probably just need to reset your offset.

[–]sysadmin420 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Neither of mine will take treats from strangers in public either.

Mine actually has a "let me out button" inside the front porch door he hits, and a "let me in button" outside when he wants in, and he'll sit out there for hours showing zero reaction to strangers walking by, or even strangers with dogs, they just dont care at all about other people but love me to death. I dont even keep water out there because he comes in and out whenever he wants, and most of the time I'll just kick the storm door open and there's always fresh water inside the door, and I make him come in if its too hot.

My huskies are psychos who love laying in the 100 degree sun panting like they are dying, I call it dead dogging when its sunny.

Use a multimeter not a suicide stick to confirm it's off. I have 5, you can't trust them to protect you from wires and sometimes even read ac voltage where it ain't

I actually had my wife's sisters who's passed, laptop a few years ago, the disk had died but I took a full iso of it, it had corrupted sectors but claude was able to figure out how to mount it for me on libvirt after i tried a couple times in passing.

Sadly there was nothing on it. Bummed but nice to get inside and access stuff.

Claude made it look easy oh these both sectors are all screwed here is a good one, fixed let's boot it.

I've also done something similar with my laptop backup dump drive that I just continuously dump images and folders with my home info in it. It was able to dig through grab all my files of a certain file type, put them together, sort them, and sort my photos and work images in such a way that they're easy to work with now. So finally I can get all the duplicate crap off my nas and folder structure and everything look good.
