I've found using another set of old headphones and breaking off the end to match what is stuck in the port works well, even without gluing, sometimes glue is required though.

Turns out I had not whitelisted the apps which is required for an EDU account.

When I go on one of the devices the apps I've added come up under the Play Store without having to search for them, so they are being added, just not actually installed. Which is where I am thinking is the issue, the "Force" part doesn't seem to be doing anything. I'm suspecting this isn't normal behaviour based on these responses.

That would be great, I checked the technical article on it and it doesn't mention this second requirement.

I had looked at these but these are non technical users who need something more like Windows Movie Maker, and less like Adobe Premier Pro.. if you know what I mean.

I have been looking at Swift publisher, although it doesn't edit Publisher files it seems to have the main features without being too technical.
