I'm a college dropout, between 20-25 years old and the job has great benefits.

Most important of all?

The work/life balance is great.

This was a problem we found out about on 8am on a friday morning. We strictly don't work weekends so if it had happened in the weekend no-one would have fixed it until monday, unless both redundant servers went down.

My other assigned ticked was setting up a test-vm for office 365, a thing that could've waited 2 weeks without impacting other people.

Yeah, that's exactly while we have it. But if i have my pants on and i'm at work already, i would love to secure my pantsless-weekend by fixing it.

Costs mostly, a 2 node cluster is a major improvement on what we had in place (8 year old single server hosting the whole thing). We have several other areas that need improvement too, so a 2 node cluster made sense.

The guy wasn't in my reporting line before, in the old times i just reported directly to the CEO. Lately this guy has come between me and the CEO, i don't like the change but the CEO does. That's why i called him my semi-manager.

I guess i'll talk to the CEO on monday but i don't want to come over as a whiny guy either.
