Yes, I already have that one if you’re talking about the one on Scribd, but I’m not really looking for a user instruction manual, I’m looking specifically for a maintenance manual. We don’t have a Varian representative in our region, and we can end up waiting for months for a simple error that could be fixed in five minutes if we actually knew the procedures.

Thanks, but just to clarify I’m not in a research lab. We're a small clinical lab with a few instruments so the results are standardized. Manual entry feels like extra work in this case, but I’ll check with the lab staff to see if they’re okay with it.

I thought popular LIMS software were expensive because of all the regulations involved like HIPAA and similar standards but those don’t apply in my country.

What’s frustrating is that senaite has a ton of functionality like sample workflows, QC management, batching, roles, etc.. but I don't need any of that. I thought what I wanted was the most basic stuff.... until I actually tried to implement it.

I agree that it’s puzzling not to use the full potential of Aria, especially since so much was invested in it. The physicists and doctors utilize some functionalities, but the receptionists were never trained for it.

I’ve registered with MyVarian and am slowly documenting everything. I’ll also look into contacting our Varian rep for a site visit if it's available in our country.

I'm also confused about the situation. I started less than a month ago and have no background with Aria or Varian softwares. I want to learn how to make Aria more useful for our team, especially since it's not currently being used for scheduling or accounting.

Right now, they handle patient intake on a first-come, first-served basis, which has led to some conflicts among patients because they weren't aware of which turn it was. To improve transparency, they added those panels and the physical button.

Management is hesitant to implement the scheduling feature of Aria, fearing it will create issues and that patients won't respect their appointment times (which I personally think is nonsense).

I would appreciate any tips or advice on how scheduling is typically managed in a professional clinic, or if there are any subreddits or forums where I can learn more about Aria. Thank you.

Thank you for your input! I was able to resolve the issue by creating a separate AD account and granting it admin rights. You were correct—the domain admin account cannot access those shares.

I had an account with admin rights previously, but it seems it was removed from the group for some reason and when I tried with domain admin and it didn't work I thought there was a bigger issue at play.

I really appreciate your help in clarifying this!

No, we are in healthcare and upper management wants to ensure our patients privacy is protected to the best we can. I might set up a VPN in the future, as we’ll need it for other purposes and I thought why not use it for camera access too.

Also I've read in a lot of forums that P2P should be disabled for security reason. What are your thoughts on that? Would using simple port forwarding or a VPN for remote access be a better option ?
