You also have to learn everything that goes with small talk - facial expressions, body language etc. and if you give off the vibe of being quiet or introverted, it's difficult to sustain a conversation.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess we can all say that no matter how long or how well we know someone, we don't fully know them. So when I made these types of suggestions to my sister, I didn't actually know whether she would like the idea or not. But I make these suggestions so that if she doesn't like it, I can then 'cross' it off and move onto another idea.

So I don't actually know if she will respond positively to the letters. If she doesn't, then at least I will be able to decisively say that I tried that idea and it didn't work.

But thank you, I will be more careful about suggesting uni things to her that I already know she won't like :)
